My USAA credit card got compromised a couple of weeks ago, I just thought it was one of those things. I did not realize they were having big issues. Almost sounds like they had a big breach they are hiding or they have some disgruntled employees.

I joined USAA in 1980 when I was commissioned as a Naval Officer. I have my car and apartment issuance with them and for awhile Banked and Invested with USAA. At that time they were manly a insurance company that just just served military officers. Now anyone who states that they have some distance family member can join. The larger and more diversified they became the worse their Customer Service became. One could report a car accident, 24hours a day. Now their claims dept closes at 9PM. Online banking - USAA would send mail out checks weeks late or not at all even those they charged my account. I am very dissatisfied with USAA. In my experience the went from #1 to the bottom of the barrel. Oh how the Mighty has fallen.

Lord help our young folks, and this country. Prayers to all these innocent victims families who have insurmountable pieces to pick up to try and move forward. Until you have a murdered family member, you just don’t know the pain. Justice needs to be had here, swift and harsh justice.

#USAA member here, also had funds stolen, then couldn’t get bank to verify me, then locked away from my own funds access. Recently, was declined coverage for sewer line issue which #USAA said would be covered & then after repairs, not covered. #USAA has seriously declined in quality & trustworthiness in past few years…

Where is the Federal Justice Department that Biden owns. Are they only good to protect political fraudsters, not US service member who are defrauded?

It happened to me over a decade ago. They were aware that this was a problem way back then. Happened to my ccard

back in 2015, i tried to use USAA for a home loan and it was a nightmare for almost 1 1/2 years with their referred people. Never again. ---I wonder how many people use their smart phones for banking?

Had USAA for 2 days. Instantly had my identity stolen. They did nothing to fix the issue and even, when asked directly, denied that a credit card was opened up using the information. Fast forward 8 months later after finally getting the idiots to understand that not only was i not in the area when the credit card was used, but that the account had been compromised earlier. They denied me renewal on the grounds that i was a security threat. Fuck USAA and may they go the way of the dodo

I dropped all my cards. Too many fraud alerts. Also, the insurance is not doing the job. Lost all my faith in them.

USAA has long recognized it was falling behind in tech and customer service. It has failed to listen to customers amd gotten worse and worse in all areas. We cannot afford to gave our servicemembers stressed and distracted by financial problems caused by USAA lack of gontrols and denial of responsibility. This ruins marriages, families, cateers, and lives.

usaa touts themselves for veterans, truth be told, they're victimizing veterans with higher than "normal" insurance premiums... usaa needs to have their card pulled...

Yes, I had an account with USAA for over 20 years. When my money started mysteriously dissapearing, USAA was not helpful. I closed the account and will never go back to USAA.

This is ridiculous. You can't just rely on a news station's team to help people out on a case-by-case basis. This is a systemic problem at the bank that needs to be dealt with accordingly.

Yikes. I’ve been with them for years. Where do you bank then? Almost every major bank has committed some sort of fraud which leaves people no trustworthy place to keep what little money we have these days.

I have seen similar things happen in collections when agents decide to keep credit card or personal information on debtors that they work with. That sounds like a inside the company type of situation. I worked for a agency when several people I thought I knew decided to act in that manner. They had been all placed under arrest and sent to prison for fraud. Also worked with the Dept. Of Student loans when a collection agent decided to give his clients a post office box and had his clients pay their bills to this P.O. Box and was arrested by the FBI and Post Master for commiting fraud using the US Mail as drop off and pickup of ill gotten gains fraud and theft by swindle. Last I heard Mr. Jonathan Cannon is still behind bars in Federal custody. Just keep track of your data and anything you send keep the original paperwork and maybe it can help solve the issue.

Take note: Been with them since 1971.Have had excellent service in all categories.Banking,Insurance,etc. However,after multiple legitimate fraud alerts over the years on my credit cards,all of which I immediately replaced,in the Spring of 2024 it happened again. This time the first agent i called told me not to cancel because they would continue to monitor the card. On a hunch,I called back later and the same fraud department told me that they ALWAYS block the current card and recommend re-issuing another.I did so. Not sure why the first agent said what he did.

USAA started losing their way about decade ago. I left them 8 years ago and had to threaten legal action to get them to leave me alone. They have devolved into lying, conniving, inconsiderate scumbags.

This upsetting and I’ve noticed a decline in their service and this is did it for me, time to find a better bank.
