MacBook Pro 16 inches Boot Loop and A1466 No Power
In this video, we have a 16 inches Intel that would with off on boot process, restoring the device in DFU (Device Firmware Update ) mode solved the issue, and the A1466, had missing components, which took us a while to figure out, but we eventually figured it out.

In this repair, we have a scenario where the device WIFI works intermittently, first, we replaced the wifi card but that did not work, and then continued on the board, all required signals and voltages were present, but SMC_WIFI_PWR_EN were lower than the threshold, we then reflowed the SMC, and that was how we resolved the issue.

We started from the basics, by checking the status of the FUSE, then we moved to the backlight output, where we measured 8.6V suggesting the circuitry is not boosting. We have an A1990 board for this repair that would not power because of a short to ground on the 2.5V line. This was not the typical C9081 capacitor on the PPBUS rail, but we removed it as a preventive measure.

This was a board-level repair. In our assessment, we found a short-to-ground on the PPBUS rail, we disassembled the device to gain access to the board and then narrowed down the source of the short to 2 capacitors.

I have the same issue, but the last shop removed the ocarina ic, is it possible to use 4 nands instead of 5?
@@gabrielamor1m you can use a fewer sets of NANDS , but must be a complete sets from its origin, for example, if you harvesting the NAND from a MacBook Air board , you have to take both and not one , and then orient them accordingly, will work without reprogramming, it’s however easier to transfer from an identical board with similar NAND layout , I hope that helps in anyway

Hi , does the device go to sleep when you close the lid ? Does it start when you lift up the lid ? When you have issues with your SMC LID VOLTAGE on this design, some of the issues you will encounter will include what you described above , please check your SMC LID VOLTAGE and you can let me know.

Thank you sir; At 10.30-10.40 You scratch the XW7720 ? What function does this? There is U7701‐-------XW7720--------D7701 connection at schema. I have little water damage and occidation L7701, D7701 and XW7720. Other parts are perfect clean. But have same problem no backlight.

Hi, I hope you are doing okay . To answer your question, work stations temperature settings might very from station to station, so my advice would be for you to use a non working board to determine what settings best work in your situation, I hope this helps.
