all this has just made me realise that i want a Minecraft faerie mod where you see this hunched-over figure in the woods at night that tries to draw you outside, maybe placing valuable items or a mysterious chest out in the open, and who is scared off by light sources. i feel like having a bit of uncertainty would help these scary mods a lot, especially if the creature was designed to blend in more with Minecraft's aesthetic.
