At 19:28, the man in the window, looks like something fell & hit him😣😣

I was at the twin towers as a tourist in 93 and not allowed to go in because of the recent bombing. I stood on the sidewalk and looked up. It was an impressive site. I see the stream of people jumping out, one after another. They can't get out fast enough. Ive repelled 300 ft and that height was terrifying. I just can't imagine how bad it was in there that they all poured out, without hesitation, jumping to their certain death. From what i know about how the brain senses pain, it was likely so sudden a death upon impact that they didn't feel any pain but they had time to think on the way down. Completely tragic.

So very horrifying to have to pick between staying in a burning building or throwing your your self off the building instead 😢 I don’t blame them at all and totally understand why the family doesn’t want to see those images

My girlfriend at the time had just started working in building #2 about two weeks earlier. I was in the city that day. Working near 38th and 8th ave. No cell phones worked. Antenna was on tower. This was pre-social media. So by landline I found out she was still alive around 2pm. I think the first plane hit at a little after 9 am. A guy I worked with was listening to the radio on headphones and just suddenly stood up and said a plane hit the twin towers! People listened to the radio to follow any details as it happened. I think the deli downstairs had a tv. It was really impossible to know what was happening exactly. Not a lot of verifiable info. My friend and I walked around a bit. Seeing if there was anyway to see anything down there from around where we were. We both rode motorcycles to work and together often. Both dual sports, basically a street legal dirt bike. All I could think of that could be in any way constructive was to fill my bike’s gas tank. It was a strange feeling not knowing if she was alive all that time. Once I found out where she was I took off on my motorcycle. All other transportation was closed down. I was able to make my way to the lower east side co-op of my Gf’s aunt and uncle. It was useful to have the bike. Long walk otherwise. She, through sheer luck and happenstance made it out of the area alive and headed uptown to her uncles. She was one of those people you saw on tv covered in that grey dust. She was cleaned up by the time I got there. We all sat in the playground it was a beautiful sunny day. I can still remember the ride to work that morning. Had my worst close call ever. Almost got hit by a cab. I figured that would be the most memorable thing that happened to me that day. Nope. On the way home to the Bronx around 5pm I was the only vehicle on the east side highway. Normally packed. This is already too long to explain how she got out of the building. It affected her a great deal for some time. The other story from this day is about a co-workers Sister-in-law. Who was presumed dead because they hadn’t heard from her. I believe it was a month after she was located in a hospital in NJ. She was badly burned with other injuries and no I’d. She was in a coma. That was crazy when we found out. She identified herself when she woke up. A happy ending. Oh well. It does me good to relive the day now and again. I thought i’d tack on my first person experience of that crazy day. It was the most beautiful clear sunny September day. The posters of the missing everywhere. All the emergency services on the west side of Manhattan, that I drove by for months. On my way to work.

I remember vividly watching the live feed from the BBC filming the scene from across the water at least about 5 miles away. It was far enough away to be able to see the entirety of Manhattan….and I sat there watching this cloud forming very slowly from the ground upwards (there was no commentary at all so we didn’t know the buildings had collapsed) and it lasted for ages until one of us realised we couldn’t see the buildings any more! I’ve never seen that footage anywhere since.

This is the first I’ve seen of such personal devastation .I have not seen any videos of these terrified people jumping or falling from the towers.The first I’ve heard of Edna also,such a brave lady. The true horror really hits home. It’s been so many years I can not believe I have never seen these videos before. Thank you for this documentary and tribute to Edna and all who were lost. What is there to be torn about. Caroline actively hid her pregnancy for 9 months from everyone, most of all, her live in boyfriend of over a decade. She never planned for anyone to know, which shows in the murder she carried out. It's not anyone's fault she didn't seek some sort of care other than her own. The only thing that makes me wonder is that she didn't discard the baby, she tried to bring her home. I think that might have been some sign of remorse.

One of the things I don’t often see mentioned..in all the photos and videos of The Waving Woman I am fairly certain you can see remains of other people who passed in the initial collision. One not far to the left(or her right) in the images. So not only is she standing there holding on for dear life in the smoke and flames, she’s surrounded by the dead. Almost two hours. She held on.
