I love slingshot too
Why tear it down? I'll tell you why. The most evil owner in all of sports history. George Von Steingrabber. The Roman Coliseum still stands for over 2,000 years. "The House That Ruth Built" for less than a hundred. The history not only with the Yankees but the N.Y Giants. Also great Heavyweight Championship fights with Joe Lewis & Rocky Marciano. Makes sense doesn't it? Let's demolish a stadium that held close to 70,000 & build a baby ballpark that holds only 47,000. All in a city that has 9 million. Do all this just so his rich friends could have luxury boxes. The destroyer of baseball got his way. Funny, never heard a peep from Yankee fans when the wrecking ball arrived.
An affordable plan housing for crackheads and illegal inmigrant. I dont support this bullshit. Thanks to the mayor.
E MUITO DIVERTIDO ESSE PASSEIO
Hello there, I have analyzed your CZcams channel and found out some problems, do you want to talk about them for a while?
🗽
Born and raised in Park slope before the gentrification
Should’ve kept the old stadium for all the diehard fans to watch at and then all the bandwagons would go to the new stadium in the postseason. An absolute sin they have done to us diehard Yankee fans by taking down a genuine piece of baseball history. RIP Yankee Stadium April 18th 1923-September 21st 2008
2nd worst moment in NY history
As a Red Sox fan you think I'd be enjoyed to see this happen but the truth is, it's disgraceful, same thing is happening in our minor-league clubs. They're destroying stadiums of history to be a different ball club from there rivals it's just like US politics.
wow
Never made it there, but it is pretty cool reading the "baked in" feeling of history about it. Shame they tore it down because...reasons?
Because there was a park besides the old stadium and they pulled a reverse card where the Yankees would have their new stadium built on the park and the park would be replaced on old Yankee Stadium
That's a nice sounding band organ
13 years and still not over this crime
I knew NY had a trash problem but I didn't think it was this bad... 😅
Makes me ill.
Creepy
Sad.
I rode this on my one and only trip to Coney Island. It's too bad they put it in such an inappropriately designed building.
Bruh this sad
I acquired a piece years ago from a nice woman she says it came from coney Island. How do I find out?
We should be celebrating the 100th anniversary at the real Yankee Stadium this year. That place was a sports landmark. But hey, now you can get sushi and wander around without ever sitting down to actually watch the game.

I see you

This is just BS and not art... Real graffiti art should stay but not THESE type of graffiti like in the video.. That is terrible
😔 քʀօʍօֆʍ
I'm not a Yankees fan, not in the slightest, but this even made me feel sad seeing so much history getting demolished
This is so depressing...like cheap vodka in a paper bag depressing. The old building had mojo
😆 p̷r̷o̷m̷o̷s̷m̷
I just received my white bucket for municipal snow recycling.
Isn't it the field that is history everybody's got it wrong Tear down a stadium just build a new stadium around the same field
I'm a Die Hard New York Yankees Fan
Does anyone think that the New York Yankees are Cursed for tearing down the Old Yankee Stadium and built a New Yankee Stadium???
No , but it was a big mistake to make the new stadium so much different than the old one . All the class was left out of the new stadium .
ok, this is amazing and all, but how does it fair against the Avatar and the full might of Ba Sing Se?
Why am I watching this Shit
New york sucks
Absolute Disgrace. They took out the soul of American Sports and left not a single trace. How in the name of God do you bulldoze Yankee Stadium and leave nothing whatsoever standing????? The Yankees will never be the same. The nostalgia of the Yankees Died in 2010.
I still can't believe that they did tear it down . Probably as a tourist attraction it could have made more money than expected . Who wouldn't want to sit in the dugout where Ruth , Gherig , Mantle , ect sat ? A national tragedy .
How are they doing today?
So many great memories going there as a kid in the midi 60's with many more. What a wonderful time back in the day.
Worst travesty in baseball history. They basically tore-down the Vatican of baseball. As a Cardinals fan, too. Hell, our own history was there, too; the final out of the 1926 World Series was Hornsby tagging Babe Ruth out.
