In almost two weeks it's going to be Spring, but here it looks like the Alps in Italy in March. In fact the streets remind me of Livigno.. This is one of those days when I don't mind the horrible gas mileage of my Jeep. I Just pull the 4WD and get out of anything.

Did anyone else notice that Brian switched guitars right before his solo? I suspect that a string broke on the Red Special because Brian is using the backup guitar. The band covered for him. Freddie added some vocals to cover the pause as John and Roger kept the music flowing.
Amazing how with a string breaking the band doesn't freak out--they just focus.

The only time John does the bass solo like in the original recording, and it sounds flawless
I think this concert was broadcast live in the UK on a tv show called The Tube. We’d only just bought a VCR and I recorded it and watched it over and over again. Then we got burgled, the thieves took the VCR and some other things but also the tape of the concert. I was more upset about the tape being stolen back then because we could replace the VCR. Long before the days of the internet and CZcams.

When I was 13 , I played this over and over again for weeks . My mother, that was not into this type of music at all ended up grooving and banging her head with me . Precious memory . Ooooooh , I love this band so very much . Brilliant band and musicians .

Burt Macklin Just my opinion but I don’t think he was under appreciated - he just didn’t draw the spotlight to himself like the others did. I feel like he was the glue that held everyone together and I am sure Freddie, Roger and Brian knew it. It took 4 people to make Queen and there‘s no denying he was (is) an incredibly talented song writer and bass player and i believe he also played piano. You just need to look at social media to know how much he still is appreciated today. ☺️❤️👑❤️

@@Daniel-kx7ip My all time favorite Rock N Roll bass player is Michael Anthony from Van Halen and that's only because of his backing vocals which were very critical to their sound. Cliff Burton also doesn't get enough credit. Metallica fanboys want Jason Newstead back but it was Cliff that was the most important component to that band's hardcore true heavy metal sound of their early years. Deacy also is very underappreciated for sure

There’s a reason the album’s Queen on Fire - Live at the Bowl. In fact it’s my favourite live concert recording that I’ve heard, IMO much better than Montreal (bite me).

i saw their last Houston,tx. concert in 1982 and i was sitting right in front of the bass player and i can still hear that bass thump when he played dragon attack and another one bites the dust but nobody ever sang like freddy mercury did/the last song they played was we are the champions
