Alice in Chains still comes up with great riffs melodies .no one can replace a legend like Layne but William was a good choice to carry on very underated singer lot's of good songs from the records Check My Brain ,Your Decision ,Scalpel Never Fade to name some favorites!

This is the song which made me become a fan of AIC. I was at the gym and suddenly Check My Brain started to play, and I was like "wow, such a heavy sound with amazing harmonies, this song is just perfect!". With all respect to Layne and his legacy, I love the old Alice work, but Black Gives Way to Blue is my favorite album from them.

Doom/stoner!

What a vicious, savage, and yet perfect song about isolation and heartache. It takes a musical genius to take those sonics and lyrics from paper to instrument, and output. Gotta love Soundgarden and Pearl James from this era, but there was something special and unique about Alice and Chains... In a Class of their own.

I was so proud of them when they came out with this album.. bring us more

Jerry Cantrell is one of the best songwriters of our time. Full stop. I love Layne, and he was a ridiculous vocalist who put it all on the line. But Jerry gets forgotten way too much. Considering he IS AIC. He wrote almost everything. This song is just phenomenal in its darkness and depth.
