How to Adjust Rear Camber on 03 BMW Z4
How to adjust the rear camber on a 2003 BMW Z4.
Remember to use a camber measuring device or other method to confirm you have the camber you want. For me, I purchased a camber measurement device but I was already so close to zero on the adjustment bolt that there was no point in me measuring. I could tell by the eye that I got some improvement but am still at a slight negative camber that matches better the rear left tire.
Also, I ended up turning the adjustment bolt clockwise an additional 5 or so degrees from what you see in the video to get it closer to that neutral feeling where the bolt does not seem to push out the negative camber.
Best wishes!

The "white box" is the bluetooth module. If you ever need to get the code to set up hands-free calling via Bluetooth to a new phone, you will need the code on that white box. Is on a sticker attached to that box.
Thanks!
Thanks, helped me think to also check my DISA Valve which is bad.
Buddyyyy did I buy your car?! Thanks for the videos and maintaining, cheeyuz `-;
Haha I hope not seeing as I still have it! Welcome to the Zed life!
to reinstall the U in the end brackets, open the top & use a piece of wood and a hammer to tap it into place
Noticed a sway from the rear end after getting new tyres. Found the adjustment was different from one sidetothe other. Just found your video and hope to make them both the same and see what happens. Thx.
GOLDEN!! Thank you!!
Very detailed video! I'm getting a P1447 code on my '03 Z4; I started getting a clicking sound in the engine. This was the only code I got, so I'm hoping it's not something worse. I'm going to try and do this myself since your video was so detailed and it looks fairly easy. I'm just concerned with pulling off all the old plastic tabs and parts. Thanks for the video!
This video is great! Strait to the point and very easy to do
I just got a freshwater kit for 20$ the spec im gonna do the same thing like you saltwater i know this is the evo one
I just got freshwater kit for 20$ used off Facebook marketplace I'm gonna use it for salt
Anyone know exactly why this comes on because after 3-4years of owning the car it comes out ? This was some new me and my dad found out and didn’t know why ? Strangely
Thanks for the video! I can't find the part. Could you post a link?
Hi, mine it moving back and fort means its clean. But mine is doing a misfire and only gets up to 2000 rpm and hits back down to 0. And stalls out. Eml light is on. No codes. Pls help if you have had that experience.
did the issues resolve?
alignment. more camber on the front, less on the rear.
"Promo SM"
Bro you are making me sea sick! Haha good vid though!
These cars and many newer BMW's have this huge negative rear camber setup and almost none in the front so it's very understeery. One reason why some prefer something like an E36/46 as more balanced cars which is a joke the Z should outhandle those family cars.
At first I was apprehensive about whether you're a method would work because you had already reset your required light. However, I have been through at least five tutorials on CZcams and all of them failed except for yours. None of the other videos stated to go to the odometer first. They kept claiming trip a was the method. You are the only one who spoke of using the odometer first and watching the lines countdown. Best video as far as I'm concerned. Thank you so much.
You should try a peppermint shrimp to get rid of that aptasia before it gets too out of control. Theyll start stinging your corals eventually
thanks for the advice! I''ll see if I can pick one up. Last time I had one it kept walking all over the corals causing them to close up so I got rid of it. :/
@Pray4UrLife12 yeah I wish they were a lot more predictable. I used to have some and they did great with all of the aptasia, but then they started going after a bubble tip anemone that I had. I know there's a nudibranch that eats aptasia but I don't know when the last time I saw one was
Yo that’s so weird I have the same tank and same fish and having the same problem any idea what’s happening I’m new to having fish

Thank you very much Sir just cleaned my one and it was the course of rough handling
Dude next time show which side of the car your working on😊

Interesting, you went from 75g to 20g to 10g then to 5g. I went from 20g to 13.5g to 5g. I learned after all these years I can make the most beautiful, amazing reef tank if the maintenance is super simple. And you can't get much easier with a water change for a 5g compared to all those larger tanks! Anything less than 5g just wouldn't have the same beautiful look and capacity as our Fluval Evo 5. This has to be the perfect tank!
Still got it up?
Yes! I need to make an update.
Yes you do
@@seanschans i actually made one 2 weeks ago but realizing now it never published. I'll reshoot another.
Just a little tip for you, if you want to increase your water flow without adding another fan and taking up space in your tank, remove the pivoting novel on the inside of your tank and just leave it off. You'll gain about 50% more water flow. If you want to aim it down just get another adapter that's completely open and doesn't act as a reducer like the stock one does
Thank you so much!
Mine are doing this. How long do they do this until they have officially become a pair?
I assume whenever the behavior stops. Weeks to months? I never paid attention to the timing.
Gracias primo
I tried replacing mine and hydraulic fluid is spitting out from where the hydraulic lines meet the pump. The top wont move. Any ideas on why that would happen
Did you make sure to tighten down the bolts all the way and place the lines in the correct spot on the motor? I don't remember if there are o rings but you should see them in the video if so. Make sure they are in place if so.
@Pray4UrLife12 I read online that they should only be tightened to 12 nm. I did tighten them more but it didn't work. Neither the original nor the new pump had a large o-ring. Maybe that's what I'm missing. That or the banjo bolts are so rusted through they just don't work anymore. Rather not take it to bmw cause they'll charge me 6k, both my kidneys and my first born child to fix it lol
@@hydrosynthetik haha true true. Try soaking any rusted components in vinegar overnight.
What size was the torx socket?
Sorry, I do not recall.
In addition to the codes you were getting, did you also have difficulty filling up the gas tank before this repair?
no
did you add anything after the fish food?
So my e85 Z4 3.0 on first start of the day sometimes idles up like it should but them immediately as it drops back to normal falls below and sometimes stalls out. Only on initial start. Otherwise runs strong with no other issues. Any ideas in this?
Maybe an incorrect air to fuel ratio caused by an air leak on the intake side?
That was awesome I was stressed out and you saved the day no more maintenance required light time for a beer and it's only 11.am
Hey man I really need help on my saltwater tank it’s my first one ever it’s been cycling for 2 weeks now the test results are coming out bad at the beginning they where good it had just a lil ammonia now the nitrate and nitrite are bad I still haven’t put in any turbo start I started from scratch I cured some dry white rock I picked up from a local person and bought live sand and salt water should I put in the turbo start now ??? And also after that can I add my first fish too I wa shrinking a clownfish??
Gratz on getting a tank! Cycling a tank can take about a month so don't rush into things. I certainly would not add a clean up crew until after the tank is established. What have you been doing to get the nitrogen cycle started? Ghost feeding, a hardy fish, bacteria in a bottle? I have not used turbo start myself but it's essentially going to add the beneficial bacteria that your tank needs for the nitrogen cycle. If you do add them you need to ghost feed some fish food so they have something to live off of. At this point I would either 1) add the turbo start if you have it and get a hardy fish like 1 or 2 clownfish. or 2) get 1 or 2 clownfish with the expectation that the beneficial bacteria will be introduced from the fish over the course of 2-3 weeks. Either way wait another 2-3 weeks before you retest again to see if your ammonia has gone down. If your ammonia is very high right because you have been ghost feeding too much then doing a water change to reduce it before adding the fish would not be a bad idea. Don't forget to acclimate your fish when adding them to the tank.
FYI, you don’t have to line up the holes. A banjo fitting is designed where the hole lines up in a certain channel in the banjo fitting. Like a groove. Good video though.
Thank You.Sir. Yours is the only 1 that worked after several trys,,,
Mine wasn't on but I did what you said and I noticed a couple dashes and all 000000 after that. Then my milage came back. I think that cleared out the maintenance light for now. I just changed the oil before it was due because it was sitting for a long time. I had to drop the crank seal anyway. All fixed and running now. Super easy. If anyone needs help doing that I can help.
Thank you much. I did it and fixed it
Great video. Couldn’t be any clearer. Thank you!
"mold-free" mention on the sealant container is NOT safe for aquarium life, even if it says 100% silicone.... FYI
Appreciate it guy, that was annoying
thanks for the video, I have a dump question: how do you actually clean it? Would brake cleaner works?
I used brake cleaner if I remember correctly.
I have a 2003 BMW z4 2.5i manual! Im getting a code P1415 and recently replaced the secondary air pump as mine wasn't working. The air pump works now but I still have the check engine light and the code? I replaced the hose as well but now I think it is the EGR valve? I don't have a vaccume line that runs across the engine but I need help on fixing this. Thank you!
Did you already reset the fault code to see if it comes back?
