Decongestive therapy, also known as complete decongestive therapy (CDT), is a noninvasive treatment that combines several techniques to help manage the symptoms of lipedema. Lipedema is a chronic condition that usually has some impairment in the lymphatic system, causing swelling that doesn't go away on its own. Decongestive therapy includes the following components: Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD): A light skin stretching technique that stimulates the lymphatic systemCompression Therapy: specially fitted medical grade compression garments that support the area to control swelling. Exercises: With compression, special exercises will help to pump lymph out of the swollen area. Including breathing exercises.

@@lipedemainfo" In addition to its anti-inflammatory properties, quercetin has been shown to have antiviral and antibacterial effects. This makes it potentially beneficial for combating the infectious agents responsible for sinusitis. Sinusitis can be triggered by viral or bacterial infections, and quercetin’s ability to inhibit the growth and replication of these microorganisms can help reduce the severity and duration of the condition. Furthermore, quercetin helps thin the mucus in the sinuses, promoting better drainage and reducing congestion. When the sinuses are inflamed, the production of mucus increases, leading to a buildup of thick and sticky mucus. This can further block the sinuses and exacerbate the symptoms. Quercetin’s mucolytic properties help break down the mucus, allowing it to flow more easily and relieving the congestion."

We dont have an arbitrary maximum liters. It depends on each patient . A larger patient can safely tolerate a larger suction aspirate than smaller person. 5' 6" and 170 is a close to normal BMI of 27 and would likely safely tolerate a little less than the average of suction aspirate. Our published average aspirate is around 5 liters however the amount varies by location. We refer you to the publication. www.lipedema.net/research-on-improved-mobility-and-quality-of-life.html

It is a bit complicated . If going through insurance the average cost of a Lipedema Surgery ranges from is around $40,000 but the cost varies by area in the country. . FAIRHealth.org has compiled data based on hundreds of thousands of paid medical claims and the actual and reasonable fees paid for lipedema reduction surgery by medical insurance companies. Going around the country, the total cost of one lipedema surgery ranges from $20,720 in Florida to $65,200 in California, based on fair health data. Missouri, Illinois, and New York are in the middle of the payment range for the total costs of the surgery. Of course when going through insurance insurance companies cover a portion of those charges / fees depending on your deductible, in or out of network fee and coinsurance. The cash price also ranges by area ranging 12,000 to $60,000. Dr Wright offers a cash discount of $8,500 per surgery. Often a single Lipedema Reduction Surgery LRS will make significant improvement in mobility , pain and quality of life.

I have a lot of chronic pain as a result of the lipedema and lymphedema I have. It took me a year to lose 30 lbs with "Diet and exercise" and without changing said "Diet and exercise" just the addition of semaglutide has substantially helped my chronic pain and has helped me lose an additional 30 lbs in 90 days. The comments section is a medium for the free exchange of ideas; consider the ones that have value, and ignore the ones that don’t. That’s how it works! 😀👍🏻 3.) I’m glad it is working for you. However, the incidence of the malady you refer to is quite low, and what works for you may not be in the best interests of most people. Finding a’59 Ford radiator is great when you need a radiator for a’59 Ford, but it doesn’t follow that you should give them out as Christmas gifts. You’re the exception; don’t prescribe a treatment for everyone because it worked for you. You’re different than someone with a lard butt who got it by lounging around and eating poorly. 4.) This medicine has side effects. And it’s being promoted in much the same way as fen-phen was in its day, before it killed a number of prescribers and was stricken from the market. Nobody wants to do the hard work, nobody wants to throttle back on stuffing groceries down their necks. But there are results available for a large number of people, with surprisingly few side effects. 🤷

@@tanquerayandchronic5308 Clearly you are not very good at reading. I never once promoted anything or said someone else should do what i did. I stated that doctor wright treats a SPECIFIC disorder. Did you know that? he treats women with this disorder and that is why we are on the page. and not all of us are fat. I also never ever once said other people should do what i did. What i said was that *I* chose to do it. and i did offer a plausible reason why THEY may need it. Zero percent of that was medical advice. Stop gaslighting me (or maybe you just don't understand the way i speak) However - it's obvious that you are simply fat phobic and nobody needs your negativity here or asked you to be here.
