Suzuki High-pressure fuel filter bypass
If you have an early 2000's Suzuki GSXR, VStrom, SV650 or similar model, the high-pressure filter can become restricted to where you're not getting enough fuel. This can cause hesitation and stumbling under load. Replacing the filter can be expensive, however an easy bypass can be created for substantially less $$.

Triumph Speedmaster 2022 - Upgraded to 12" Mini Apes and High bar cable kit
zhlédnutí 14KPřed rokem
I needed more! Swapped my TC Bros 8" mini apes for their 12" mini apes, along with installing the Triumph High Bar cable and wiring kit. In this video I show a little bit about taking the old parts off, but unfortunately ran into some snags and neglected to record putting it all back together again. I hope this still provides some insight for anyone who might want to try this for themselves. Ba...
Triumph Speedmaster 2022 - Dart Marlin Flyscreen
zhlédnutí 18KPřed rokem
Decided to pick up a Dart Marlin Flyscreen for my Speedmaster! Was looking for a little more comfort at highway speeds and this one delivered. EDIT: After posting this video, I was cleaning up my workbench and saw this on some of the paperwork from Dart: "Please note: on close inspection, you may see a small surface line by each of the mounting holes in the screen. These are called 'knit marks'...
GM MDI2 CLONE Unboxing

I've been having electrical issues with my 2010 Suburban. A clone Tech2 was helpful in diagnosing the possible problem but did not allow me to program using ACDelcoTDS SPS2 or SPS. Picked up this MDI2 clone to try and program a new/used memory seat module.
Ryker Rally 900 - New Windscreen

My wife has been considering a windscreen for her CanAm Ryker Rally for some time now, finally picked out a universal Puig screen in Dark Smoke. So far it seems to be working well, moving most of the wind off her chest but still gets a bit of wind around her helmet.
Triumph Speedmaster 2022 - Fitting cheap ebay saddlebags

Triumph Speedmaster 2022 with TC Bros 8” Mini Apes
zhlédnutí 13KPřed rokem
A quick view of the TC Bros 8”Narrow Mini Apes I installed on my 2022 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster. The factory beach bars were a bit low for my liking, and the official Triumph mini apes were too tall. Still able to run the standard cables, just re-routed.
1985 C10 LS swap
zhlédnutí 34Před 2 lety
Just a quick overview vid of my 85 C10, when I had first wrapped up a 2001 5.3 LM7 and 4L60e swap.
Can you tell me the height of the top of the screen with the final result? Considering this product because the BRP sport windshield is too high for me. Thanks!
Unfortunately I can't as we don't have the Ryker anymore, but I think it used to sit about even with my wife's chin while she was seated. Enough that she could look over it but it would still deflect wind mostly over her head.
under tank, just above engine was high temp. i don't like new filter position.
The existing fuel line is in the same exact place? And while in my example here it's just laying there it could absolutely be located in a different fixed location with some longer lines.
Maybe lengthen the straps and strap it on to the grab rail area so they don't hang down so far?
I ended up replacing them with burly brand throw-over bags. They fit much better.
Very helpful for assisting me with installing mine.
Just bought that for mine!!
Looks great! BTW, I see you attached Burly saddlebags, do they fit under the rear seat pad or did you have to modify them? Sorry to hijack the thread! 👍🍻
Yes, they do fit under the seat pad! It's been a while since I first installed them, but I seem to remember removing some rubber feet off the seat itself to make room. Putting in the retaining screw for it requires pushing the metal tab down a bit as well. But it definitely makes them secure.
@davesdiy9836 outstanding I'll give it a shot, thanks much!
Just reverse flush it, fixed the 80K mileage on my GSXR1000K5 immediately, had dropped to 120 hp on the dyno, straight to 155 after the reverse flush.
We did try that first, unfortunately his tank was REALLY nasty so I think this one was beyond saving.
What about tilting it forward a little bit?
Unfortunately this screen does not have any adjustability options, the brackets and hardware hold it in one position only.
Thankk you so much for this video. I just installed my 6" risers with stock cables on my bobber! Came out great! That saved me a couple hundred bucks!
Nice!
Hey man .. using this video as a template for my triumph bobber. Had a question is. My bobber has the weighted bar ends. The new handle bar is just hollow. Any idea how to get them off (and transferred to the new one)
I never moved mine over to the new bars, so I’m not sure how they are removed. I just use closed end grips to cover the holes.
Yeah the bobber comes stick with bar end mirrors with an end cap. Appreciate it!
Hey ! Looks great and this is exactly what I want to do. Do you have a pic with the mini aps without the wind shield, without the passenger pillion seat ? It will be the style I'll go for IF i get the speedmaster (still considering an aircooled sportster)
You did a great job on those bars.
I'm waiting for the same bags to be delivered for my t120. Also, that speedmaster seat looks so comfortable!
"My New Bonneville" in Texas has the best price on these that I've seen so far: $64.95
Exactly the same thing happened on my 2022 Bonneville, in exactly the same location: upper right section if the badge.
A pretty mod! Saved to add on my Speedmaster. Continue to add more content related to the Speedmaster! Ty
How is she enjoying the windshield?
Nice mod, now you got me perusing the newbonneville site for fun projects on my bike. Also as important - my cat ran to the TV to see where your cat walked off to.
She always has to try and make an appearance
No apes it's mini fuck bro ((((( sorri 😡16-18 norm
If I could add one little bit of criticism to Motone, they are brass badges, how about some brass screws to go along with it!
Same happened to my left hand cover. Bike has only done 21 miles, must be just a cheap cover. Replaced with motone covers, like yours looks great. Dave UK.
I was surprised as I consider Triumph to be a more premium brand. Not the end of the world, but still. A little disappointed.
The bars appear in line with the forks. They are taller but the distance between the seat and the stock bars appears almost the same.
can you share the link of the saddle bags? can you carry milk gallons? in this.
I want a set up for my laptop so i can go into my 2005 silverado and cut things off in the ecu I don’t use anymore ! What do i need ?
Sounds like you'd need something like HP Tuners, not this. The GM tools are for diagnostics and don't let you change very much.
Nice look! Question on ordering...Did you go with the smooth or dimpled bars?
Smooth
Love my speedmaster now. Those bars are excellent. Thanks for the video
looks good man , nice job
I own a 2024 Triumph Bobber and purchased the expensive Triumph rails (painted black) and Triumph saddle bags before researching them enough. The saddle bags aren't waterproof and can't be locked to the motorcycle or locked to protect the contents. They are held in place by a simple nylon strap and plastic clip. The whole "slide them on" the rails using sewn-on sleeves is terrible! I am now considering LongRide rails and sidekick mounts to modify my setup. I should be able to use the Triumph Saddlebags with new LongRide rails and mounts.
Looks nice , sounds nice . Compare to stock , which one is the quietest one between the two . Thanks.
Well, stock is much, much quieter than either. But I would say they are equally "loud", just a difference in Tone. Both are hollow and free-flow construction except for the baffles - this one is on the 'inlet' side, where the Amazon muffler is on the 'outlet' side.
We're did you get the saddlebags? Love the look
Ate they dippled or not?
No, they are not
Just bought a new 23 Speedmaster and hate the bars. Thx so much for your idea, they look great and will work great for me.
Hi, i like your video and also like the 8 inch chumps. Do you have to use extension cable kit for the 8 inch bar? Thank you!
I did not - however I did have to re-route the brake line and clutch cable to the rider side of the triple clamp.
How did u remove end caps from beach bars? I m trying to but no success . Or hv u used other end caps for TC bros Handel bar . If yes then can u plz share link so that I can also purchase
I did not use any end caps at all. The old ones are still in the beach bars, and I used closed end grips on the new bars.
Can u send link for closed grips

Looks really good on the bike

You mentioned your video wasn’t maybe as good as someone making a more professional version. I can’t tell you enough how much this video is going to help me with my conversion. You gave a very good detailed account of your process without a lot of extra nonsense bling. I for one appreciate it. Thank you
Thank you. I decided to try making some videos because I'm always doing projects and I can't always find what I'm looking for on youtube so figured I'd make my own. I still don't record half the stuff I do or try but I want to make an effort going forward. Thanks again!
Your information is of great value to me. I probably should of gotten 8” bars wouldn’t you know it mine are 10” 😮so now I’m watching your other video about the cable extensions. Again thanks for posting all this great information. 🙂👍
Did you sell the 8in bars ? Was it really that big of deal with the switch housings ? And drillling the joke out for throttle ..
No, I still have them along with a pile of other motorcycle parts in my basement. The switch housings were not a big deal, just take your time. I did drill out the throttle hole, just started with a center punch, then a small bit as a pilot hole, then the actual bit size I needed.
@@davesdiy9836 Are they chrome if so do you plan on keeping them are selling them ? also with the aftermarket bars the biggest thing his the part that the grips go on is shorter so you have to use a differnt grip but know big deal right. And also with the 8 in bars you did not have to undo the break lines are clutch correct.
@@leviteeler1629 For the 8" bars I had to re-route the brake and clutch lines, yes I had to disconnect them to pull them through to the rider's side of the triple clamp. Not sure if I'll keep or sell the old ones, I may hold on to them for a future project. Different grips fit but I have ditched the bar end caps in favor of a closed-end type grip.
What mirrors did you use ? part numbers .
I got them from J&P Cycles online, but I don't think they carry them anymore. I would not recommend them anyway, I could not see a thing. I replaced them with these from Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0734QVM4X and I'm very happy with the quality and appearance, even if they are on top of the bars not underneath.
Hey Dave I was curious about how much shorter the triumph mini ape is compared to what you installed. You said that you discovered the triumph mini was shorter. Im in the process of trying to figure out handlebars Im a short man to but older with arthritis. If you had to do it over again would you have used the triumph Minis ? great videos.
Hi, the reason I did not go with the Triumph bars is because they are pinned straight up and down and I did not like the look, and it would have made me reach further (defeating the purpose). If you wanted something not as tall, I did have the 8" bars previously which are slightly lower.
8 minute mark: That's a bloody cool looking bike man!!!!!!
Really great Vid and as you say we didn't need to see all the faffing around trying to get the kit to work you photos of what you did are enough. I'm changing my bars as I'm the same height as you but hoping to get away with risers and LSL flat track bars. I've gone for then id controls so don't mind being slightly forward rather then sitting dead upright..... time and distance will tell if that works. It' annoying how motorcycle manufacturers have a 'one size fits all' design policy. One question... did you drill the new bars for the peg on the throttle assembly?
Yes, I drilled the new bars. I've seen that some folks grind down the locating nub but drilling wasn't that hard so that's the route I took.
Nice install, question…. Where did you get your windscreen
It's a Dart Marlin, I bought through Amazon.
Speed crocs
Ha! I think of them as my "combat crocs". They're comfy to slip on for puttering around the garage.
Present day any issues? How did it go without buying the software? Any issues with downloading the drivers from bosch? Thanks
I have not used it since I first bought it, but I was able to use all the legit drivers and program the modules I needed without any issues. Only thing I ran into is that the software recognizes it as an MDI, not MDI2.
