Can you please tell me if GFR is an indication different from BUN or Creatinine and if GFR is a level that can be tested for kidney function. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Both the BUN/Cr ratio and GFR (glomerular filtration rate) are important indicators of kidney function, but they provide different insights. The BUN/Cr ratio assesses the balance between urea and creatinine in the blood, while GFR measures how well the kidneys are filtering waste from the blood. GFR is generally considered a more accurate measure of kidney function, especially in determining the severity of kidney disease
thank you
Youre welcome!
😮😮😮😮
❤
My BUN is 7.33 mg/dl and my creatinine is 0.81 mg/dl. How about this one?
Hi, based on your values I can let you know that they are in the normal range and your kidney function is normal!
Thank you so much and more power
If not vaccinated they deny you kidney transplant
In which country?

Well, this just caused me more anxiety. I’m currently suffering with gastritis. My mother and my grandmother both died of stomach cancer, so,this is great. Thanks.
Hi . Please note that chronic gastritis can progress from ongoing inflammation to more severe complications such as ulcers or stomach cancer IF not properly managed with treatment and lifestyle changes. Regular monitoring and treatment by a healthcare professional are important to prevent progression and manage symptoms effectively.
What is growth retardation?
In Cushing's syndrome, growth retardation refers to the impaired growth and development seen in children and adolescents due to prolonged exposure to excess cortisol, a hormone produced by the adrenal glands.

Both are correct!

Both are correct!
Thank you for this informative video. What is the ratio of creatinine and bun? Specifically, is BUN level of 87 mg/dL natural when creatinine is 3.4 mg/dL?
The normal ratio of creatinine to blood urea nitrogen (BUN) in the blood can vary slightly depending on factors such as age, sex, and individual health status. However, in general, the normal ratio is approximately 10 to 1, with creatinine levels being about 10 times higher than BUN levels. For example, if the creatinine level is 1 mg/dL, the BUN level would typically be around 10 mg/dL.

Is this contagious ?? I been taking medine for 1 week now and i still working during day at office .Thank you in advance for your response .
it's different from the more common respiratory tuberculosis, which is contagious through the airborne route when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It primarily spreads through ingesting food or water that contains the bacterium.
So that's why mah boogies taste different when I cry.
Haha yes.👍
Is it contagious?
Not as much. It spreads through ingesting water or food that contains the bacteria .
Hello! Thank you for your very helpful videos. I have gastritis now, for which I am taking sucralfate. I do not drink alcohol or take NSAIDS (for other reasons). I do take an antidepressant Rx. What could other causes be? I am worried that this could become chronic. Thank you.
H. Pylori infection, stress, your diet and even antidepressants can exacerbate gastritis.
