AFAIK, compression testing is supposed to be done on an engine at operating temperature. Also, sometimes a blast of compressed air around the plug, prior to removal, keeps possible crud falling in. No, bud. YOU make sure the wrench says "off" to remove the plug? Guy's a hack! 88 likes?
@@lucky8003 Thank you for your comment.
I have the same bike but my is clean and run better and it's stock
Cool
Mine is out the breather bolts
@@jodiehighroller9820 Oil from the breather bolts is usually caused by worn out umbrella valves in the rocker box.
Hard to listen to!
@@samhalsey5051 Sorry, it was filmed a year ago I have since replaced the mic.
What’s wrong with your microphone?
@@samhalsey5051 the video was taken a year ago I have since replaced it.
Thank you for this video, this will help me , Mine is more complicated, my 150cc ZN150T-24 ( Rebel, Rowdy Rover) has rear hydraulic disc brake , the drum brake is used as a Parking Brake, the Lever for using the parking brake is located on the right side of the fork tube housing
I am very happy you found the video helpful.
Where did you put the charge gauge? Retrospective generally puts it under the seat but with the spring seat you have you can't put it there. I have the same seat set-up on my scooter (spring seat and buddy seat) so I was wondering. I was also concerned about that plastic tub filling with water if you get stuck out in the rain.
Great info buck.
Thank you
I do get a lot of detail information and tricks from your step by step video, thank you sir
Thank you so much. Glad my videos helped.
Hey... So the size of the new hose should be a half inch? Sorry for my ignorance, I´m not a mechanic, this is my first sportster and I have that problem... Thank you.
I use half inch, the important part is that it fits the oil tank fitting.
@@socalmotorcycleservices2876 thank you!
Have the exact same problem on my 02 wide glide with over sixty thousand miles, just waiting for the parts ,, you are right on the twin Cam always check them every 25 to 30 thousand miles and I did check them at around 40 thousand they look good then, But when over sixty came around that was it,, 25 to 30 thousand is a must with the older twin Cams ,, Thank you for sharing this Video,,
Thank you!
Thanks for taking my call from South Carolina,
what is the crank runout? And what did you find?
Bent exhaust valve.
thanx, That was a Fear of mine. I did my first stage 2 on my 103 with 20k. kind why i was curious about the runout. I read .03 and tehshoes where just showing tracks. replaced w/ Dual Fuelings. Nervous as all hell once complete.Replaced items: S&S lifters, Smith Bros adjustable pushrods and there " covers " , Star Racing 577 cams w/ koyo bearings. So far so good... read 200 psi both cylinder an I installed a T-Max ECU The most challenging part was TDC starting off seeing the cam chest marks was great. BUT leaking pushrod covers and retaining nut slips caused me to struggle madley to readjust correctly. Various videos where only partially helpful for the process. i know you could produce a better presentation. Thanx again@@socalmotorcycleservices2876"
I have an 03 ultra classic with stage 5 screaming eagle engine and tab performance Zombie Exhaust. I have 60,000 miles on it. My point is, they wouldn't have done all that work without changing the cam plate, you wouldn't think?
The must have changed them. I would think they probably changed them to gear driven or hydraulic atleast. Maybe next oil change you can pop the cover off and have a look. It is very easy to look.
@socalmotorcycleservices2876 yea, it was done at Killer Creek When it had 14,000 so I think so. It sounds and runs amazing. It's the 100th Anniversary so you think Harley went all out on it...
That sounds like a great bike.
I changed my tensioner shoes with Cyco gasket shoes for $12 dollars @ 118k miles. I also replaced the lifters, while I was in there. Everything else still looked good.
Have a 2006 street glide 20k miles. When should i be concerned with tensioners....?
I would check them out on your next oil service but I wouldn’t worry too much, it is still early.
what are the miles on this bike?
The bike has 60k miles on it.
rivnuts would be nice for the batterybox
Why not do a cylinder leak down test? Will tell you way more than a compression test. Just sayin! Lol.
We always do compression tests first and since the compression was so low there was no need to do the leak down test. Either way the head has to come off so we Just popped the head and the damage was very obvious.
Very good! @@socalmotorcycleservices2876
Did you say that bike has 6k miles in it!?
The bike has 60,000 miles on it.
Thanks for sharing this video. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

If you took video on the brake and hydraulic clutch line extension installation, please post it!
Sorry I didn’t take any pics of that but it is super easy, you just connect the extension lines that have built in bleeder fittings to the existing lines. It is a very well designed kit.
This is the worst video I've ever seen the guy is in the way 75% of the time half way through I had enough and turned it off
Done very well. Sound advice.
Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
Where did you get the swing arm from as looking to do this to my small frame

Thank you Drew. I really appreciate your kind words.
How much does the kit cost?

For 6k u prefer 3 gasoline ones)
Hi sir,the accecorist parts like indonesian style😊😊
Can you please help me I need to implement it in my father's own scooter
Let me know what you need.
Thank you for the detailed videos!
I am happy you found them useful. Thank you
Great stuff. What maintenance does it need?
Tires and brakes are really all the maintenance it needs.
I guess so. Maybe the electric motor needs WD40 or similar to protect from damp. I am getting a Retrospective kit fitted on my Lambretta here in the UK.
