I wanted to thank you for this. The above exercise has already started to help me develop the discipline needed to build chops around the kit. Up until now, i've only been focusing on what songs require to sound good and appease audiences for which my band plays. i have a new appreciation for the triplet. This seems to help me build chops around the kit faster than the 5 & 6 stroke rolls. It's easier to focus on triplets at first. Now i know that. i have you to thank for it!😊

Nice comments below and in line with my own reading of the notation. A double paradiddle with accents on counts 1 and 3. The second eight note of each paradiddle set is played as a double stroke and the accented count 3 stroke is flammed. The name given by the creater is cool and playing up to speed is really where this becomes tough. Love the challenge and offering. Agree also the description of the second stroke of the paradiddle phrase as being "cheesed". It certainly sounds that way when up to tempo, the squeezing of that double is almost like a drag rudiment

i am am totally confuse, i see it written in triplets and 16th notes. and written in groups of 4 or 6 notes. and to top it off, written with different accents all over the place. i been to 6 different sites and each will show you something different.

Hey bud, this is a great video, I learned the paraddidle diddle completely different though. I was told the only accent to play was on the first right hand stroke. After your first bar it seems to morph into a six stroke roll with the two single stroke accents. Is it just a personal touch or did you learn to play it with accents on the two single strokes?
