That last clip put a smile on my face and thank you for that although I am sorry you hurt yourself. Sometimes our plans go unexpectedly wrong. Are you taking vitamin D3 with K2? That has kept me from getting those normal colds and coughs. On the intermittent ADT shots, I am about to ask my oncologist to put me on it. I have e not seen any evidence that it is harmful but. I will check into it. We both know continuous ADT has its own negative side effects that can be life threatening. Everything is a trade off so we have to make that decision carefully. I am with you Alan. Best of luck.

Hi Lance, Only you can decide. It’s certainly not that easy, in fact extremely hard. I chose life and feel a bit less than a man, but I am still here watching my family enjoy life. I guess it’s how you value the options. I am not qualified to give advice. However, I choose a longer life and don’t regret the decision. But please think long and hard about the choice ahead. Yes, strange how sometimes there is an explosion of cancer cases. I was diagnosed with PC last November (Gleason 7 4+3 T3A - no symptoms). I have now finished RT but unfortunately I'm stuck on the ADT for another 18 months, 2st weight gain (6" on my waist), swollen feet, hot flashes and more as a lot of you reading this will have experienced (Note: exercise is key). Anyway, after my bad news my three older brothers decided to have their PSA checked. All three had high PSAs and all went on to have positive biopsy results. You don't want to be with us in the pub, as you can guess the topic of conversation. Our wives sit together now because we bore them to death, they do however get a laugh out of us when they see us mopping our brows when the hot flashes come on ROFL It is soo important to have a PSA test on a yearly basis, I cannot emphasise that enough. Four of us with PC, none of us had any symptoms what so ever.

I'm dying of prostate Cancer stage 4 metastasis my PSA currently is 430.4 and every 3 months I get tested it's going up & I'm dying! I think I have around 12-14 months of life left in me so I might reach 62y next year but by then I'll be in a critical condition! My Gleason is 9 aggressive cancer very aggressive so once I research it taking ADT chemotherapy won't work & I'll only be DAMAGING my self even more & my quality of life will suffer badly! Once you research your cancer if like in my case I was diagnosed very very late after 8 years going to my doctor he missed all the signs!? I was told in 2019 that I had stage 3 prostate cancer so by then my body had already been flooded by Micro cancers! So no treatment would work! The Oncologist don't tell you this because they want to give you HOPE! I'm a practical person & once I read & understood cancer I have just accepted DEATH! I take it so we'll with good grace and dignity because I've had a FANTASTIC life 4 children had a great job etc etc BUT the main thing is I have always had FAITH!! I was born 1963 so I'm an old style guy I don't cry it's not in me I don't fold it's not in my character I accept death because I did everything possible to flag up to my then GP something was seriously wrong with me! Remember Cancer today is a Business!

Alan- great video. Funny about scans. I have had MRI scans. My recent one at 12 months after diagnosis showed that my 5 mets had “disappeared “. I have been asking my oncologist for a PSMA PET scan but he says that was not an option. So I have now done one privately (as you say not cheap!) . Had it yesterday at the Royal Marsden ( south London) and will soon find out if they have in fact “disappeared “ or have just shrunk . I am expecting the later but hoping for the former. Not quite sure what to do next . Maybe another in 6 months time - I will have to raid the piggy bank again for that one!

I'm crossing all of my thumbs for both of us, Alan, I just found your channel, and I am very happy to see that you're conveying what I should have done long ago. I was diagnosed with advanced local metastatic cancer on May 16 2023, but it hadn't reached the bones yet or gotten out of my bowel. My treatment was a combination of hormone therapy and radiation. The radiation was done after 29 days of successive bombardment of the bowel area, and the hormone therapy continues for another year for a total of two years. I've yet to come out of the shock phase, to get out, and start walking, but I know I have to, and eventually I hope I will. My Gleason score was 4 + 5 = 9 with the highest PSA recorded of 23. I'm currently 54 years of age. From Norway, much love, and keep those videos coming!
