Its just a usb printer connected to windows. Should be fairly bulletproof. What issues are you having?

I dont think Shopify has implemented this yet despite a lot of requests for this functionality. Best to contact the helpdesk to check and if not, be added to the list of people asking for this. Do you know if that printer can buzz after cut?

That would depend on your software - nothing to do with the printer. In shopify you select how many labels you want to print.

Have tried on another device that has bluetooth

You add the barcode number from the label into the barcode field of the product in Shopify

You can use the DMARC Record Checker here. It could take up to 24 hours to work though after you make the changes - dmarcian.com/dmarc-inspector/

That doesnt sound right. Maybe it has filled out the sitename for you automatically, in which case you wouldnt need to enter it again.

The TTL is how long it takes to activate. I dont know why it wouldnt just be the smallest amount as I cant see why would anyone want it to happen in two days? Tech stuff being unnecessarily complicated again. Please just set it to one minute and you should be good.

@@Till-Man Thank you! And also wanted to ask, what do you think about the steps that Shopify suggests to take? When I went into the Settings>Notifications>Sender email section, it asked me to authenticate my email by adding in DNS lines just like you said, except they requested 4 different lines with different host names and values, with record type CNAME. I wonder what is the difference?

@@verofit9305 The way I understand it (not an expert in DNS) the CNAME records are to redirect people to Shopify so they can see your website when typing in your domain name. This DMARC stuff for the email is something different.

I have looked into this further and its the 'Time To Live' value which is about how long the info is cached before it needs to look it up again. Doesnt really matter what its set to, but I would go for 60 mins.

I havent played with the dymo software for a couple of years since I stopped selling their printers with the 500 series, after they forced everyone into using their factory labels. I would say restarting everything might sort that though. Sounds like a software thing more than a printer issue.

@Till-Man I agree it maybe a software issue, but I have restarted and uninstall the software and reinstalled to no avail.

What controls the format sent to the printer?

Sounds like something might be bent inside. The actual printer mechanism itself has lots of plastic and is not very serviceable but you would have to take the machine apart to see if you can spot what might be wrong. Could be new printer time though.

@@Till-Man Yes I suppose there is some damage inside but rather difficult to take apart. I think I can use this machine on the right side (roll) only and buy a new one for my collegue. In that way we don't have to borrow it from eachother regularly.

I'm no mac expert. You have to do the whole CUPS driver thing which is always a messaround. You might need to find another video for that.

The printer is just printing what your computer is sending it. I would start with restarting the computer and checking all of your print settings in the pc.

I dont do anything with Dymo anymore since they forced everyone to use their expensive labels on the 5 series labelwriters. However thats not really how it works anyway. You could export your shopify product list then import it into the dymo program and then print labels from the dymo software, not the other way around. I wouldnt think so. To share between devices it usually needs to be on a network as bluetooth can generally only talk to one device at a time. Best to double check with your pos software supplier.
