There have been numerous suggestions to use copper strips, but could copper wire be used as “jumpers”? If so then solid core copper may be cheaper if it can be repurposed from old household salvage. Given that the battery pack shouldn’t be flexing, solid core should be safe and give good conductivity.

A lot has changed since this video. How about an update because that looks horrible.

Plenty of flux goes a LONG way when soldering. Most people will give up soldering 100% before they learn about flux :(

use SnPbCu solder.-.. use 100-120wattt soldering pen to NOT OVERHEAT BATERY! everything over 65/75C is bad.. so MAKE IT FAST! or rather NEVER solder it and spotweld it.. good solder cost same as pocked spotwelder.. CUT nickel strip with baterry C ratio.,.,. he weld probably 100A strip conectin so what in case of failure... IGNITE WHOLE BATERY"!

if youre using solder, use copper sheet,. not nickel strips, would be much more effective

Hi Micah; Thank you for your efforts in sharing all this information and training! I own your book - I have re-read parts of it several times, and I've watched many or most of your videos. I'm going to be building / converting my own bike to an e-bike. I'm shooting for a 750 Watt + power mid-mount motor. I'm shooting to having built a 1500 Watt battery - I believe it will be a 52Volt battery. My first attempt will be with my "lesser" capacity batteries so that I will "learn" with those. The batteries I have that are better - I will reserve for my second effort. Right now, I'm at enough batteries to make 3 such (similar cell-count) batteries. Once more, thank you! Josh

This is not really safe as you have some in parallel and you dont use spacers it will short out if the heatshrink get damaged. If you only did it in series it wouldnt matter a lot

4:35 thats where my brains say other.thats 3. 2 is your 3.. bcoz 2 is between 1 and 3. why not just simple zig-zag. than your go this way then turn around go back up then forward turn go forward then back go up LOL if i go my brainway 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,14 is correct position(need flip 6 batteries sure your 6 diff LOL) so 8 correct 6 wrong on your desing. think bout it.8 would be exactly same triangle cell and 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14 would be linear left to right. not any jumping back LOL
