I start chemo next Wednesday....not sure it will be helpful, but im hopeful, and prayerful. I was diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma a few weeks ago, and surgery isnt an option bc of vascular involvement. Im 41. Thank you for posting this...i have absolutely no idea what to expect, or bring. I hope youre well and healthy. ❤

So, when can we grow up and stop being robots for the pink committee? 2014 Left: 3.5cm IDC ER+PR+HER2-Negative, Partial Mastectomy, Taxotere + Cytoxan 3mos plus standard radiation for 1 month. 2023(Nov) Right: 1.5cm IDC (last mammogram w/tomo March 2023 (undetected) ER+PR+HER2-Positive.

You look amazing with short hair You did not really want the chemo but see how these doctors will sway you. Well I had a treatment plan from one hospital and I was dead set against radiation. Then one doctor told me oh you won’t have to have that I’ll put you with another team and a new doctor in the hospital I said no because you know they’re going to talk you into it. Once they have a captive audience I knew I would fall for it and get the radiation against my better judgment , I never spoke to them again and went to a second opinion and they never heard from me again I know that sounds terrible but I knew what would happen. I told them basically that I was probably going to use another hospital group, but I never spoke to them again after that, so it’s true you go against your own inner voice and I knew I would and I would’ve been so mad at myself for doing something I really was against but I’m speaking of someone who had radiation before so I know the horrible effects of it

Your legacy lives on. Hope you are cancer free and thriving. I start chemo soon. They are working out a schedule and I dread it.

I'm having a port put in on the 23rd of this month, just been told I have cancer, I have no family support so this is going to be hard on me, it also has cancelled a trip I already bought and paid for last year, travel agency won't give me the money back so I lose $1100, ohh well, chemo once every 3 weeks for 3 months, then another ct scan, exam by oncology Dr. if tumor has shrunk, which I hope it does, surgery for a total hysterectomy sometime in September, am terrified, don't know how to deal with this, I'll be 49 August 1st, so NOT looking forwards to losing my hair, I have waist length hair, I have however bought 3 chemo hats for when the time comes that my long hair falls out and I'm bald as a qball, I don't know what to do, I will be bringing a few items with me, 1 is a weighted lap blanket due to how high my anxiety is, portable dvd player, my laptop, cell, all chargers, snacks...and my new water bottle I just bought because I'm a huge water drinker

Thank you. I’m 65 and recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I had surgery Monday and go back to my doctor and surgeon on the 23rd. Will begin chemo shortly after. I do not know what to expect so your videos help quite a bot. I’m trying to find a gentle shampoo to use during and after chemo. Any suggestions?

Is triple positive breast cancer is curable and how are you now

I had Taxotere, Carboplatin and Herceptin as well. My hair never really did come back, since 2013, but I am here still. Take care.

Just a suggestion, alcohol prep pads. They help with nausea, just break one open and sniff it. I know it sounds weird, but it works. Ginger candies help too. Take good care. 🙏🏻💕

So loved this video..was just diagnosed triple positive dcis. Like you, I’ve always said I would go with a double mastectomy. This is my third round of other cancers. Will see the surgeon this Friday..I just hope she understands my wishes with my history. had your cancer spread at all? Like I said…just loved your video and I’m following you! 22:08

The cancer "care" corporation my insurance corporation has assigned me to seems to think my breast cancer is no big deal. They aren't in any hurry to treat it. I was told I might not need chemo, and if I do it will probably be oral. I don't trust them. But this is Vegas, and none of the "healthcare" corporations can actually be trusted. It's all about seeing as many patients as possible to increase profits. We are moved through the system like cattle.

Hand lotion would be good and charger for iPad/iPhone

Don’t forget the numbing cream to put on your port and cover it with a little saran wrap to numb the port area so when they access your port you feel nothing! 😊

I'm trying to figure out if I should shave my head. Blackberry festival tells me you must live by me.💕 I'm on the pill radiation portion of treatment and I still have hair, but it's super thin and annoying. When it starts to grow back is it better to be bald or will the new hair match what's left? I imagine myself with curly and the straight hair that's left when it starts to grow back, looking all wonky... 😆

The immunohistochemical study of the expression of hormone receptors and overexpression of HER2 (carried out Ventana Benchmark GX controller) shows: -Estrogen receptors (ER, clone SP1): 90% positive tumor cells (positive internal control); intensity CONCLUSION: 1 - Lumpectomy specimen: F22091080 intense expression. -Progesterone receptors (RP, clone IE2): 60% positive tumor cells (positive internal control); intent of expression: moderate. -Proliferation index (estimated using Ki-67, clone 30-9): 50% - HER2 (clone 4B5, ready-to-use): overexpression of HER2 in immunohistochemistry, rated at 3+. 2-Sentinel lymph node: The histological examination confirms the data of the extemporane examination. Page 2-Sentinel lymph node: ON+/2N. Infiltrating breast carcinoma, NOS type, SBR grade III, Luminal B phenotype - HER2 pos Absence of carcinoma in situ.
