The famous Wilmots Attractions AIR RAID at Whitburn 🏴 on the Friday before Galaday! Not many people around but still the busiest ride. Even standing watching AIR RAID it's incredible. Music, lights, the speed and the laughter/screams from everyone on it is just incredible and of course grabs everyone's attention even if too scared to go on 🤪 #WilmotsAttractions #Wilmots #Showmen #AIRRAID ...

Exploring the incredible Dunmore Park House as it stands 60 years after it was abandoned. Built as a family home and stayed as a family residence until it was briefly turned into an all girls school from 1961 until it was left to go to ruin in 1964. More recently, it was used as part of the set in the historical drama Outlander. I didn't know this until after filming, but I can see why a buildi...

After general medical services transferred to the newly-opened St John's Hospital in nearby Livingston, Bangour General Hospital closed in 1991. The Village Hospital also started to wind down after the opening of St Johns with the last remaining ward closing in 2004. 20 years on from the final ward closing we can see part of the land is being prepared to build new homes so no access but there i...

A fly around RAF Kirknewton! Royal Air Force Kirknewton, otherwise known as RAF Kirknewton, is a Royal Air Force station at Whitemoss, a mile south east of Kirknewton, West Lothian, Scotland. It is retained by the Ministry of Defence, as Kirknewton Airfield and is home to 661 Volunteer Gliding Squadron.
Fantastic vid
Where does it go?
You have to come to Scotland and see the wheel for yourself, fantastic.
Где крыша?
@Gogov74 usually roofs were removed either due to being unsafe after fires or so they don't pay tax on the building as it can't be used.
Thankyou for the video. This made me cry due to the nostalgia and longing for the old/ better days. My family moved to Melbourne St, Craigshill in 1967 from Glasgow. My dad worked at Glenos asbestos factory in Pumpherston. He then worked at Uniroyal in Newbridge a few years later. My mum worked at G&P Merchants then years later was the receptionist at Craigswood sports centre. I went to Riverside Nursery then seven years at Almonbank Primary and six years at Craigshill High. I'm just filled with nostalgia when I watch this. My high school is gone except for the gym. My primary is basically gone and is now a 'special' school. It was difficult making out where you were flying over as the roofs in Craigshill were all flat and the trees very mature. The only 'constants' are The Tower pub, Riverside and Letham schools but even those have changed. If anyone remembers me (good or bad) reading this then please say hi and how you know me. I now live in Surrey/London. Families I remember from old in Craigshill are Nobles, Wesgarths, Hendrys, McKenzies, Barnetts, Jones, Langlands all from Melbourne St. Muirheads and McDonalds from Fremantle St. Melvilles, Wilson and Speirs from Darwin St, Noons, Mollins, Mastaglios, Robbs, Browns from Onslow St. Kennedys, Lockes, Duncans, Gilmours, Nevins, Dryburghs, McLarens and Gallaghers from Garry and Torridon Walks. There were MANY others too like Scotts, Hannahs, Marshalls from Pentland Park and Lambs from Canberra/Inglewood. Great times, great days. Shout out to many great teachers I had like Mrs Myers, Mrs Baldwin, Mrs McLaren, Mrs Wright, Mrs Milne (my P4 teacher), Ms Hutton, Ms Livingstone, Mrs Seymour. Also Mrs Brandeski and Mr Ferguson the Head. My formative years. Great teachers at High school were Ms Dalling, Mr Hamilton (physics), Mr McLeod and Mr McLean (both maths). Loved it.
Great video. West Calder is beautiful and so is Livingston. I love the rural(ish) location of both and the whole new town movement of the 60s. I live in a new town of my own, Skelmersdale, but sadly it didnt get the investment needed to build up like Livingston did. Still, we have no traffic lights and it's pretty quiet here most nights. I can't imagine the Scottish winters being kind to visitors of the shopping village in your video, though.
👍

watch the wee dude dancing in the corner, hope he got a sick bucket ready ha ha ha

Did you feel anything paranormal when visiting dunmore Peter p.d.u team
There is an eerie vibe here. I had to go back to fly the drone due to the wind. When I went back I was there on my own and I felt like it was more of a hospital feel rather than a home or school if that makes sense. A great place to explore 🫶🏼🏴
Nice video❤❤
*_Looking at the abandoned castles, I saw that it seemed horrifying, do you also feel like me...?, greetings from Indonesia........._*
Yeah a very eerie vibe while exploring. Even more so when I returned alone to fly the drone 👻🫶🏼🏴

Would love to explore places like this, not much like it here in Australia, shame about the ugly graffiti :(
Thats a shame but also good that there's not buildings being left to go to ruin. Graffiti definitely ruins these beautiful buildings 🥺
it could be a total rebuild analogous to Chateau de Chaumont....?
Oh I'll need to have a look, I think there's similar features in a lot of buildings of this time
Magic ❤
Woohoo~what a well drone. Scotland! 🙃
Thankyou so much, appreciate it 🫶🏼🏴

Scary. Love the video.
Yeah its quite an eerie place, similar feels to abandoned hospitals. Appreciate it 🫶🏼🏴
Hello! Thank you for an absolutely superb video! I went solo with 661GS at RAF Kirknewton in 1974 (aged 16), and was asked to become a staff cadet, where I remained until 1977. I guess I had around 100 flights in T31 and T21 (and yes, T53!) gliders. Looking at the video, much has been lost in the way of buildings. including the old Ritchie Camp. Interesting to see that the Bellman hangar is still extant, after it was condemned for chrysotile asbestos. We used to sweep the asbestos dust off the wings of the gliders every weekend prior to flying! Surprising I'm still here at 66 years old.....Went on to have over 85 aircraft types flown, with c150 different airfields /airports in my logbook. Kirknewton was and always will be my "mother" airfield.
Wow that's incredible 😲 Yeah it's an old airfield so a lot memories from a lot of people. I've only ever drove past so not sure what buildings have been there. I know there was a lot more buildings years ago but couldn't tell you when they were pulled down. You would've seen some amazing views as flying the drone gives you great views 🫶🏼🏴
Amazed to find this on Utube, I was born there in 1952, had my appendix op there in 1962, lived in Wales for the last 50 yrs, first appointment with the local Doctors surgery in Wales in 1975 with a Dr Rhys Morgan who going though my medical records which had been transferred to Wales he came across my records for the Appendix, the surgeon was non other than Dr Rhys Morgan my new GP and he showed me his signature on the paperwork, He had done his Surgeon training in Bangour, sad to see it in this state, had many walks around there in younger days walking up from Cardross through Uphall and dechmont to explore the area.
Wow! There's many reasons why I film places like this and one being the stories from when it was still in use from folk like yourself who have memories. That's incredible that years later yous cross paths again. You can still walk around most of the site as they are doing the groundwork from the opposite side from Dechmont just now so not blocked the paths only the buildings. Hope you enjoyed seeing what's left and thanks for sharing your story 🫶🏼🏴
Love the roundabout section kept waiting on a bump... 😂
I'm surprised there's not loads of bumps there especially when it's busy
I do love a bit or urban from above the shapes and all those lives going on plus im a nosey beggar lol..."ooh look at the state of that garden"! lol
Yeah its great to see all the shapes, some parts look crammed and others spaced out. Oh there's some gardens look chaos but it's the fake grass that really stands out 👀
awesome shots and nice flying my friend well done liked it 👍
Thankyou so much, I really appreciate that 🫶🏼🏴
Amazing video, thanks for creating and uploading 👊🏻

Growing up in craigshill this is an amazing new view 😊
Yeah it really is an amazing view, especially when it's somewhere you know and recognise. Glad you enjoyed 🫶🏼🏴
Great footage and flying 👌
Thankyou so much, I really appreciate that 🫶🏼🏴
Went yesterday at night around 8pm, doors are on the floor now, wasn't going to go inside the building last night. It felt like someone was watching us inside the building
U culd turned that into a boarding school and accommodations that is also surrounding the main building and church u name it I can include with the boarding school..
They are planning on turning some of the buildings into flats and building more homes to bring "the Village back" They have started groundwork but I've no idea on timescale and of course what will still be standing and what will be demolished.
The pink bus shelter
Super effective 👌
Thanks mate 🫶🏼🏴
I feel like a broken record when I say that the UK has the most drone flyers. I guess it’s because of all the cool castles. Unfortunately, we don’t have many castles here in the US. Thanks for the aerial tour. I liked and subscribed. Have a great day. Stay connected.👍
We do have a lot of drone flyers in the UK. You're not wrong there. There is so much to see and so much history to explore. I hope you enjoy and thankyou for Subscribing it's really appreciated 🫶🏼🏴

Really appreciate that, trying a new way of filming and editing so I'm glad people are enjoying it 🫶🏼🏴
Great video, I thought it had all been flattened or would have been back before now
Cheers mate, definitely worth a visit while there's still access to most of the site and it's a lovely peaceful walk

Can you fish in the Loch?
I believe so, I think there's a cabin where you can buy a permit. There was someone fishing while we were there but couldn't tell you if just chancing it or got a permit but a lovely loch and peaceful
@scotlandfromabove2023 cheers mate, I'm up there next month and will look into it more 👍
@andrewrichards9513 it's a lovely place and so peaceful so if you do get to fish I'm sure you'll have a great time 😊
it's a shame what's happening to it, used to walk around it with my dad it was rlly fun
Probably caught me in that lol on the high street somewhere, I’m usually up on Sunday afternoons
Thinking of my dear friend, Robert Brown, when I see this…❤
Hi Just wondered if you needed permission for this and/or if there was a DJI geofence protecting it.
Yes, there is a Flight Restricted Zone around RAF Kirknewton so permission to fly is required from the aerodrome operator.
@@Mexi257 Hi, thanks for that. Any idea who that is? RAF Syerston/MOD?
@@Mexi257 Great, thanks. That confirms it, it was RAF Syerston. Much appreciated. 👍
