    When people say a FLGR makes no difference, i can't help but feel like they're crazy. As soon as you switch it out to a standard GI rod, you immediately notice a drastic change in weight distribution. It feels way more balanced to me to have that little extra weight in the front, and i can recover my sight picture between shots much quicker. There's also a smoothness you can notice in the action cycling. To me, they've become a non negotiable.

    I guess I judge weapons a little differently than most. I recently bought a Tisas and had some questions about it so I called Tisas. No one ever answered so I left messages 3 times. Never received a response. I emailed them 2 times without a response. I finally emailed the parent company in turkey after which I received a response. Sold the gun immediately. If your support is so bad what does it say about your product!

    • @Conklikov
      @Conklikov Před 3 dny

      I agree with you I mean a gun is only good if it’s backed by excellent support. But idk I feel like all the Turkish gun makers are kind of aloof. They have to go through multiple people in terms of importation and not everyone along that chain cares about the long term outcome of the company they are selling. Where as a company like glock or ruger cares through and through on the out come of the sale. One question, what was the question you had for the dealer if you don’t mind?

    Hi 22LR good defense ?? What is the best 22LR ammunition for defense in 2024? Which manufacturer makes a good Colt 1911 22lr model in 2024? Quality Weapon accuracy Durability Regards Arthur Warsaw

    • @Conklikov
      @Conklikov Před 7 dny

      There is a lot of questions there lol, I’ll try my best. 22 lr for defense is always questionable, now I sure wouldn’t want to get in front of it. Also shot placement plays a big role as well. That being said, 22 can definitely be used for defensive roles. Just temper your expectations with effectiveness. For defensive ammo I’d probably stick with cci, good track record for reliability and can get hotter loads. For a 22 1922 manufacturer the GSG definitely works good and I’ve had success with it. Also the newer hammerli looks promising. I would stay away from the Chiappa clone as quality just isn’t there. A nice adjustable sight on the rear can really help with accuracy if it needs fine tuning. Hope I could help, if you got more let them fly. Cheers, conklikov

      @Conklikov Thanks for your question. When I was 15, I shot my first 357 S&W. The two that taught me told me a pinky is for indexing and is used to keep the gun from falling out due to snap. I have been shooting all guns with my finger under the grip. My 44 Blackhawk. My 44 Magnum double barrel Derringer. My Wichita Arms 7mm08 single shot bolt action Pistol. My Beretta 92 10mm. My H&K P10mm. And a hundred more. It was a great lesson they taught me. I was born in the country with a gun in my hand. • @bobbyboygaming2157
    @bobbyboygaming2157 Před 14 dny

    The reason everybody is totally confused is because for some reason people are writing it as "feet per pound force" when it should just be "foot times pound force"? The Germans at Weihrauch get it right, it's just Joules lol. Energy = Work = Force times distance. I guess, in this case, they are trying to express Energy per foot. Since each experimental shot would travel some random distance that we are not really interested in. So, you just calculate the Energy and then divide it by the distance traveled by the pellet in the experiment and that gives you the energy in 1 foot of travel (to standardize it). Am I on the right track here?

    @tom7719 Před 16 dny

    To all the people complaining about fitting parts. If you want a drop in part with no fitting required then buy a Glock. One thing I’ve learned in my over 50 years of working on firearms is a precision fit firearm is going to require fitting of replacement parts. The tolerances on a 1911 or CZ or Beretta etc are much tighter than the plastic wonder guns.

    • @Conklikov
      @Conklikov Před 14 dny

      I absolutely agree with you. Glock is better suited for plug and play. 1911 is a bit more work. Although some enjoy the extra work. There is no real set standard for 1911 style pistols. Glocks are just so much more forgiving

    I thought Bond Arms had different size frames? For example, on my Roughneck 9mm Bond Arms, I can switch out to a .45 or .357 barrel, but not.22 (cause the frame is smaller)?!

    • @honorb4glory606
      @honorb4glory606 Před 14 dny

      The Bond Stingers have smaller frames, which use different barrels. As far as I know, Bond no longer sells .22 barrels, because they were having issues with misfires. I think you have to buy a Bond that comes with a .22 barrel from the factory now, because they need to hand fit them to the frame for reliability.

      My honest opinion the 30s is better for ccw purposes by all means. Lighter and has more pedigree for having a reliable function. The 30s. Is a bit different than the new g30 gen 5. The 30 s uses the thinner slide from the 36 single stack. Glock never made a 30s in Gen 4 for some reason. And I really hope the buckle down and make one for Gen 5. The BBR is a cool gun for sure and has a great trigger. I think both would work well for carry it really is just preferences

    Tisas is killing it with the quality . I have this same model 1911 from them and a px-9 night stalker and both of them are nice guns

    Picked it up the other day. I had it jam on me several times. Is it because of the range ammo? It was like the brass was to big for the barrel.

    • @Conklikov
      @Conklikov Před 25 dny

      It is possible that the brass wasn’t sized down properly. But it’s also possible that barrel was messed up from factory. I’d tend to beleive the ammo one mostly. I’d get some different ammo a try. If it still doesn’t fit then I would have a gunsmith take a look at it to see if gun is messed up

    You want a little bit of off play in the slide that's the last thing you want is a super tight fit like all the idiots with their target shooting the gun originally designed for combat use and the work conditions that it involved mud snow things like this they needed a gun that was function if dropped in the mud that's what colts and the military did back in 1911 where they dropped the gun from a height of not sure I believe it was about 250 ft above ground and drop it with the half-cock safety they dipped it in mud clean the barrel fired it things like that a tight fitting gun you don't want if you had at least a thousand rounds through it it will loosen it up which is what I would like

      @Conklikov Před 29 dny

      I don’t disagree that a little bit of play is desirable. But it is easy to sand and polish material away rather than add material. I rather be a bit tighter and loosen it up.than have a loose gun get looser. Lockup should always be tight. Slide to frame it’s very acceptable to have a bit of wiggle.

      The slide lugs and the barrel lugs should be squared to properly aligned both together firing a number of rounds and I worked in a gun shop with a friend of mine and we've seen 1911 that were like that it required a number of rounds to finally break it in we've had a tough nice pistol Smith here in Michigan and I inquired about tightening the slide equals that is the worst thing on a combat piece for self-defense leave that in his words garbage for the Target shooters

    Thanks for your post. I picked up a Rock Island M206 recently. The first thing I did was clean and lubricate it with Ballistol. When I took it to the range it fired great. It's very accurate. Mine has a great finish and no tool marks.
