Forging grip rail for the railing and the frank power hammer broke! A pipe had work hardened and cracked. Upon trying to remove it, the pipe tore and a part of it was still inside the air cylinder. The next phase in forging the railing is to produce the aspen tree branch which will set in the middle of the longest rail. Using the power hammer I am able to forge aggressively and accurately taking this large stock down into a taper, using the square octagon round technique I a good part of my day forging.
