Как поршень вдавили, не показали. Смазки медной мало нанесли, нужно весь тюбик на колодку). И самое главное: направляющие смазали, не забыли😂. Полный треш. Показано, как не надо менять колодки! They did not show how the piston was pressed. We didn't apply enough copper lubricant; we need the whole tube on the block). And most importantly: they lubricated the guides, didn’t forget😂. Complete trash. Shows how not to change pads!

It’s much easier to push the pistons back in when master cylinder cap is off. I was also advised by a ‘brake expert’ once that it better to crack open the bleed nipple when pushing in the piston as this stop old fluid (which can contain contamination) back through the master cylinder.

Beware, there is one significant problem! Since the filter is horizontal and there is dirt on the top, you are not able to pull the filter out so that the dirt does not fall directly into the fan! And there, at best they just rattle, at worst they make a bigger mess. Always when replacing, you need to use a sheet metal jig that slides under the filter before removing it! It can be bought, but of course you can just make your own. That's what the debris that gets collected during the change attacks. It's a hassle, but it's true. I don't know why the designers didn't use a vertical fan like they used to. So watch out for that!

I did mine today. A bit of extra info: There are 3x T45 screws (I undid them with a M6 Spline as I didn't have a T45), and 7x T25 screws. Sump bolt has a 19mm head (you need a new bolt with a pre-fitted washer every time) and torque is 30nm (about 25lb/ft), oil filter cartridge is 32mm. I could not undo the inner bolt on the filter cartridge, the socket (13mm) kept slipping, so you need a HEX socket rather than a 12-way standard socket. If you don't undo this first to drain the filter cartridge, oil will go everywhere. Which it did....

How much copper grease on the back of those pads 😳 Way too much!! Just a thin coating needed, not a thick daubed amount! And contaminated the friction material as well.

Neat job, and video helpful to me since I'll soon be doing this job. However, I won't be using a cigarette lighter socket and USB adapter plug. My experience is that if you leave those permanently plugged in, the connection fails every few months and you need to turn the plug in the socket to restore power to the dashcam.

Personally I would suck out the diesel in the filter housing to remove any dirt or water & then fill again before placing the new filter element in place to prevent an airlock on starting.
