I have been watching these videos about muddy ponds for weeks now, and this is the first time i hear someone say that karp makes the pond muddy.. I have konted to 25 karps in my pond, just those i have seen at the same time.. Not to wonder why my pond is so muddy then... ❤🇸🇪

Don't at lot of fish consume algae..? By actually giving them less fish food they will likely turn to natural sources for food. Thus creating more of a natural ecosystem.

Music made me not want to watch this after a few mins.

Scottie I floculated my dam using this. It made a difference for sure, but wasn't perfect but an improvement. Now dam is back where it was 3 years or so later. Mixing the product in as per sample is not really possible. I used a fire pump best I could at the time. Would a different non polymer product be worth a try?

Pond came with house. Has blue and Grey filters in it, 8 of them. Keeps backing up and leaking every few days. Wring filter media? Too much algae?

Absolutely brilliant helpful video. Looking to buy a property and the dam is REALLY muddy. I will be looking at using dam water for gardening and also for toilet flushing....not concerned about the garden, but not wanting the toilet plumbing to clog up with sediment really often, so taking measures as you have mentioned....such as erosion control and floccing etc are great to know. Thank you.

how well does this fair with gravity feed? i had the idea of catching rain water in a 2" pipe, and fitting these into a 3" section of pipe in the middle of the line so the medium cant leave its section, and just drop rain water through it down to the tank.

Hi!! How do I know if my dam is leaking or if it's just natrally evaporation? Have recently purchased a small bit of land with a dam on a natural winter flowing creek. The dam was very crudely built as admitted by the previous owner. While we are experienced in farming cattle.. not so much dam maintenance. Is there a way to tell is leakage or just evaporation. If leakage is bentonite really a good solution or is a rebuild required? Thanks
