Porsche Convertible top fix
zhlédnutí 81KPřed 7 lety
Pretty much all Porsche convertibles from 1997 through 2012 have push rods with plastic ball joints that easily fail. When these break, the motor and lid still move, but the convertible top won't move on it's own. For parts, check out my blog: burnerscars.blogspot.com/2017/07/porsche-convertible-top-repair.html As always, I am just a car enthusiast. I can't advise you on safety. There are alway...

Durametric Review: Best Diagnostic Tool for Porsche?

The Durametric tool is just a simple tool that looks like a basic OBD2 cable, but it works with powerful software to access fault codes and activate systems throughout the car. Unlike the OBDII cables, it can access ABS/PSM systems, the alarm, AC, Transmission and just about every other system and sensor connected to the ECU. I tried all options. Ordered aux cable to plug into back of unit. Cheap China garbage. I have the cd changer and ended up starting there. Unplugging the unit and using the rca connectors. You will need 2 female to female rca's then male rca to headphone jack. I then plugged in a bluetooth receiver and set radio to aux. You can omit the bluetooth and rerun it to interior but I just left the bluetooth mounted by cd changer. Not sure why no one has went with this option took me awhile to get it right at first I left main cd changer plug connected and just let the changer play the cd tricking the radio to stay in cdc mode so I could utilize the rca inputs but once the radio is programed to aux you can disconnect the changer and aux function kicks in.

The coolant is Glysantin G40. Porsche doesn’t make it. You can use Pentosin, or Zerex, or VW G13. They all meet the spec. The color is violet. As long as it’s G40 spec.

Done 70,000 miles on my LN, no seal and no lube, car now 120,000 total mileage, change oil & Filter every 5000 miles, you pays your money and takes your chance. part of the problem with the bearing was the inclusion of the seals, once the grease had gone you could not get enough lubrication in there, i would be interested to know where you sourced your hybrid ceramic bearing, as i should be replacing the current bearing.

This is a good start BUT it's 7 years old and DOES NOT MEET FORD STANDARDS!!! My 2013 Ford Explorer Sport requires Dot 4 LV BUT it also says that the fluid MUST meet or exceed: "WSS-M6C65-A2" AND "ISO 4925 Class 6". Failure to use a fluid that meets or exceeds those standards may in fact damage your braking system. You can google those standards to find out more information but basically they have less viscosity which is needed for ABS systems that may also utilize automatic braking while using cruise control. All Poly Glycol brake fluids are NOT created equal so you should check your owners manual and BE SURE TO CHECK THE FOOTNOTES, so that you get the proper fluid for your brakes.

Would I bother using a light flywheel on a read car? No though have in the past. Racecar however [roadrace and speedway] they are essential and ideally you should also use a lighter balancer as well. As well as a smaller dia one. Or more importantly a smaller far lighter clutch. Centrifigual mass is a real issue, smaller mass the better the engine responds. Balance? IF the engine is balanced to suit there is no issues, even a 40lb nuetral balance clutch and flywheel can use one half that weight. Or speedway use just a small dia flywheel with a conical clutch.
