Thanks I found it the footage was of kitesurfing it was very dark and unusable I’ll tray again at 240fps that should help great video by the way
Yeah, at 960 fps the shutter speed is very short so you need lots of light for it to come out good. @@wedrivetheworld
Don’t mean to be a hater but if the tool kit’s drill is either on or off it’s a garbage drill. You should be able to feather the drill and have it start turning so super slow and throttle it up to full speed then back down

does the camera burn in the time/date stamp in the footage? I bought the 380 because of this video, but now I'm seeing the there is no burn in of the date and time. Is there a quick work around, especially when working on a Mac? It seems like such a simple thing though I spent 4 hours and didn't find a workaround. Thank you.
The camera saves time and date in the metadata. If you want it to be printed out in the video there are a variety of programs people use to do that. This video goes over the process: czcams.com/video/PXFD_gbwxZQ/video.html

It is SAD to see what once was created to bring the affordable aviation to masses become a Supper rich elite Hobby... You can't get a descent light sport For less than $ 150000$ unless you build yourself, which it is not going to be any cheaper... Everybody have their own opinion on why this is happening in the Last 3 years.... SAD..

$150k. What? What defines your category of decent? I'm not super rich by any stretch of the imagination but I can afford 75K. But that's also a reflection of my life. You work smart and hard to obtain the things and experiences that you want. Plenty of good used aircraft way under 150k.
I am talking about new light sport. The ranger R7 was 89k brand new in 2019, dual dynon hdx AP etc. Now the same Model is Today$194,500.00

Great video and hilarious commentary, especially about reading the manual. I did the same exact thing when I first bought my AX700. Then I read the manual. END TRIGGER. I caught some of the same type of action with Cicadas (noisy friggin' bugs that come out of the ground once every 17 years). Keep it up Dave! Awesome video.
I watched your cicada videos. Excellent work. It was really cool to watch and I was amazed at how clumsy they look when they are flying. Our camera is great!

Hi from the UK. I also own a Sony FDR-AX700. Your videos have been a massive help, so thank you. I was wondering, am I right in thinking that after I've made all the changes in the various settings to video in slow motion & I've finished all the slo-mo filming I want to shoot, do I need to go back through that process to return to standard filming?
The only thing I can think of is that if you want to shoot in 4K you'd have to change the file format back to XAVC S 4K then adjust your exposure as you go. S&Q only shoots in HD. In my last video I was at an air show and I was switching back and forth without bothering with the file format. I just filmed everything in HD and was fine with that. I did have to readjust my exposure each time because the shutter speed is much shorter in slow motion.

lucky man you are ! .... hernest boyett would have made quite a good business in france if he had just declared his gyro to the french administration (just a question of filling forms without any certification, just a test report to do) I would have bought a kit 10 years ago when I started flying ... horrible to think that nobody has taken over his kits production .... too bad that he has never sold his tandem plans also .. worst then this too bad that nobody in this stupid rotarywing forum accepted to take a meter and give me just a couple of measurements of the tandem ... seeing all of this fading away if not difficult to accept

How to focus manual objects like motobikes or CrossFit competition, can we set a 1x time before recording and its ok?
What I've always done is to focus on a spot where I think the action will be. Not sure what you mean by setting 1x but zoom and focus can both be set in advance. I bet you'll get some awesome footage!
I used..start trigger and i liked more..more easy...
Sometimes it's better but when you can't anticipate the action that's coming end trigger is a godsend.

thanks..500fps is very good for crossfit/motocross videos, i tested yerterday and its ok, great quality
I have been using Panasonic camcorders for years, I actually have 4 (3 SD900 and 1 VXF990) that I use for multi cam shots along with a Sony FDR AX53. If at any time I only take one on a walk it will always be one of the Panasonic's as it will slip in my jacket pocket and is a lot lighter than the Sony.
I watched "Yep" and thought it was great. My wife & I have had a few brushes with the, ah, 'unknown'. No Nope about it.
I was heading to Mesquite from east Texas with a friend and came upon this several years ago. That was a trip. I thought we were going to get probed.

Does the ax700 shoot in 4k?
Yes, but in super slow motion it only does HD.
Hi David, since last month I own the Sony AX700. Everything how it works is clean to me. Besides the slow motion function. I followed the manual and your advice. Also the correct HD modus. But when I push de S&Q button twice the slow motion screen/menu does not appear. What am I doing wrong. My sd cards is 170 mbs.
The recording format needs to be set at REC FORMAT XAVC S HD. That will have to be done first before anything else. I'm kicking myself for not saying that in the video.

Pity the manual is so poor and the ergonomics of the menu system so typically Sony that we need to have what should be simple functions explained (well explained) on CZcams. In many respects since you cannot used this in 4k, the AX700 is a very good 1080 camera with a few functions in 4K available. But no replacement with all functions available in 4K in sight.
