If you are not complaining, you are not trying hard enough. Ive never seen a sport with so much refuting, debating, complaining, whining, etc. Practically after every play. Something has to give..or not.

I knew zero about fencing before this video. I now know a small amount about it. I just know that the matches where the pair continually smash into one another instantly and it comes purely down to ref calls are incredibly boring to watch. A little back and forth makes the match so much more suspenseful and interesting, purely from an entertainment/uninformed spectator standpoint. Thanks for the video!

thank you for the video. cool information! for ME, it was annoying to have text on the screen that was different from the audio, it made it hard to follow. because we had to deal with information through audio and through text at the same time, very fast, while trying to follow the images... for me, it was overwhelming. I am sharing, because maybe other people might have had similar feeling and we could consider changing this in the next videos. or maybe it is just a unique situation particular to me and no action is needed.

Ridiculous commentators. Just pathetic. Can't even get the Korean names correct; one time it's "guk" another it's "gu" and then it's "sang guk" in referring to Oh SangUk. Majority of the time they're painting this great picture of the Hungarian fencers whereas barely a mention for the South Koreans. So unprofessional and pathetic. No matter, despite the boorish crowd, South Korea are the VICTORS!!!!!

Some of these simul calls were kinda bad. The touch at 33:20 is pretty clearly attack for Iran but they call simul.

Great!! But i miss the explanation of the point in line defense (one of my favourite moves in sabre) and his counter, the beating attack.

man, i've always looked at modern sabre fencing down but now i guess it's not that bad. It's still really flashy and fast for my tastes but it's now equal to military sabre sparring in my books thanks :)

I used to fence, a million years ago, when sabre was not plugged-in. And women could only do foil. Couldn't understand why then, and really happy that changed, because I definitely prefer watching women sabre. Cleaner, more flow, and so much less drama. Thanks for the primer, because the sport has changed, more so with sabre. Probably in the same way electrification changed foil and épée way back when.
