Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I used to draw graphite portraits when I was young and stopped drawing for years after I had my children. I want to start drawing again and have tried, but at 68 years old, after playing piano and designing cakes and cookies for years, arthritis has made my hands stiff and less able to control a pencil. I never thought I could do hyper realistic ANYTHING, but your tutorials have shown me I can still use a makeup brush for shading (I used to cross-hatch) and use the pencils and erasers to "tap" the highlights and lowlights. I really appreciate that you explain what tools will be needed and how you're using each tool as you use them. I have never subscribed to a CZcams channel, but I subscribed to yours. Thank you for sharing your gift!

Hey Zach, quick question. I work exclusively with Graphite but hate the shine. I've used charcoal before but it was overwhelmingly messy. How do you minimize the mess? if I can say it that way. Incredible work by the way.

You can get cleaner lines by painting the base color (in this case, white) over the side of the tape you’ll be painting near. Letting it dry, and then painting the other color. This will seek the gap between the tape and the surface preventing the rigid border. Amazing work no less! Hope this helps!

Consider having longer/bigger boxier sleeve on your next iteration! Oversized it’s all the “rage” rn (feel like a boomer saying that’s) They look good tho! But I can’t resist a nice somewhat high gsm oversized shirt with elegant small design work

I find dark hair isn't terribly hard. But I'd love to see how you handle blonde or even white hair. Stuff where the both the lights and the darks are very strong and very tightly packed.
