hope your back to it soon mate 👍 definitely an art bracketing but like you say best have a few methods in the arsenal . another one i have used is the ratchet strap lot of them are 25 mm standard small one lot of clubs use them round the trees again not gospel but it can be anther trick up the sleeve

Bracketing works if you can hold the rifle steady unfortunately for me shooting of sticks I’m not steady enough to bracket or use the head bob😢 so I have to rely on blur and the mark one eyeball

I’ve 4 optisans my favourites are the ES 10x44 and EVX gen 2 4-16x44 ffp I’m not a huge fan of the 3-12x32 CP as the parallax isn’t in focous for a wide range like the EVX and ES

At our range in Concord, CA we shoot under cover all year long, rain or shine or cold. When it is raining, shooting FT is great. Why? Because you can see the rain in your scope and tell immediately the direction and intensity of the wind

Hi Gary, I started shooting some 40 odd years ago with springers and then, after 27 years in the military, I got back into air rifles around 18 months ago. I have mainly been shooting PCP now but have recently purchased a 97 to get back into springers but I like the MTC Connect 3-12x24 as I really like the minimum eye relief. Would this still be a suitable scope for the 97? Having not shot one of them on a springer I can’t see how the minimal recoil would effect it much but don’t want to blow £269 on a scope that is no good for the 97. Ideally I want to have a crack at HFT and use this scope.

Do what your comfy with don't diss your self I'm fat as well but we don't need to know. hw95 and yes fun at first dismantling .

Is there a particular reason Andy shoots top barrel first. I've heard all my life bottom first. But he shoots top even on clays. Was just wondering why. Thanks

I've been shooting various disciplines and animals in my wheelchair for nearly 30 years so I'm sure you could find some way to stay involved during your recovery although I recently had to get rid of my Webley Patriot 25 and my Remington pump action .223 and go back to a bolty due my left shoulder being ruined by 40+ years of wheelchair pushing which human shoulders aren't designed for. The good news is that my right shoulder for the moment can still handle vehicle shaking recoil

I'm so sorry about your accident Gary. But you are full of energy and you will recover. Consume plenty of vitamins B and C. Never lose hope and shoot from the rest.

I'm a new TX200 owner and a long time center fire rifle owner. I'm a target shooter and not a hunter. When using a rest we would never rest the barrel or, in the case of the TX200, the underlever directly on the rest. Target shooters rest their firearms on the stock isolating any vibrations from discharge.

Sorry to hear about your injury, do as your told and hopefully you'll make a full recovery soon, air gunning is 1 of the most accessible and enabling sports going, I've a few issues myself, hitting spinners in the back garden helps to manage symptoms especially pain..air gun therapy always makes things better good luck👍👍
