You were losing the onagers to attrition, not being caught; if they were caught, you'd have seen the lost battle notice pop up.

In my recent Malakai game, the Morathi and Slanneshi forces have basically taken over the donut. Where on my empire campaign, the donut is in control by several high elf factions and 0 corruption. So I guess it really varies now

The Vermintide has begun! But with two armies for each faction it should be fine to move armies into position while watching the rats until the big Skaven invasion comes.

My current campaign is cathway and recently moved armies to where the elves live, and they seem to be at a stalemate with each other and I just hit turn 100. Hope that helps answer if your elf situation is a anomaly

Epic last battle there. I had the High King in one of mine as the last Dwarf standing. No retreat before the Green horde.

I think you may have lost the second Kingdom Holy War by using the decision before using the first holy war
