I lived in Seattle and Bellevue from 1960-67 and watched The Space Needle being built for the 1962 World's Fair from our chemistry. I went to see Johnny Mathis and Henry Mancini during the fair. I moved back to Canada in 1967, after graduating from the U.W. They tried to draft me, but I said FUCK YOU. What a senseless war. LBJ was a good leader for expanding civil rights, but was a failure when it came to the Vietnam War. It's so tragic that both JFK and RFK were assassinated. They were great leaders. - Peter

Man I never go out there anymore because I live in Lakewood. And it's like a pain in the ass just to get down there from the bus. And the one day I decide oh I'm not going to go Dave grohl shows up and it's like just my luck. He never comes to Seattle and it really sucks I wish you would come to Seattle more. Same with Foo fighters like come on you're from Seattle I mean not Dave but the band is. Also I hope the Foo fighters are still going to be together. Because it's like deja vu when Taylor passed.

I just came across this today, Sept 27th, 2022, while Dave is in the middle of the Taylor Hawkins tribute show. I’m a musician who has total and complete passion for everything music, but I have a full-time job and a 5 year old and I just can’t commit to music full-time. So I play farmer’s markets (glorified busking, i call it … you sign up for a spot and play under a tent, but it’s just for tips). My ceiling is local bars and I know it. Sometimes I feel crappy about that, but seeing Dave choose to busk makes me feel like if he thinks it’s worth his time, despite all of his success, then maybe it’s an ok thing for me to feel proud to do too. Thank you, Dave. You’ll never see this comment, but you don’t know how much it means to me that you did this. It’s like you said to every musician who busks, “yeah, it’s cool. I’m with you. We’re ultimately the same - all just musicians.” :) I really needed this today. Thank you.

I stumbled on to this by accident about a year ago drawn by Dave Grohl and confused by the presence of who I thought had been the lead singer for The Go Go’s. When I figured out my mistake I searched for Brandi and the first thing that popped up was The Joke. After repeated views I realized that only one time before had I ever been so affected by a song upon the first time I heard it. That was in 1970, when I heard Let It Be for the first time. So thank you for introducing me to Brandi.

Did anyone hear the story behind this day? Brandi told it on CBS Sunday morning or something. Dave apparently knocked on her door to "crash" there for awhile. She said sure, come on in. They all got to jammin--he was kinda in a space. He said "guys, guys, let's go to Pike Place and busk!". Brandi and the Twins: "well, okay Dave" (hoping they could keep up). So off they went.

This was no "surprise". It was planned. None the less, Still very Cool. I live in a small town on the central coast of California. A few years ago, a similar thing happened here with Neil Young. A local nightclub that is know for booking local talent "blew up" when Neil appeared. It was never announced that he would appear, but as soon as he a[[eared on stage & started playing, the word got out really quickly and the place was overrun with people trying to get in.
