Thank you for this simple and easy to understand series. As a game dev, I hated video editing and all of rendering stuff; because first --> most paid software need a ton of learning to understand, and second --> most free software are either too complicated of UI or either don't have basic editing features. OpenShot is the first software that let me overcome this, and finally edit videos without hesitation. Thank you soo much, May GOD bless you mate ♥

Are the files on the tutorial available to download. If so where?

In my case I have a video that is also the source of the audio. The video is just a shot of my amplifier speaker. I decided to make a collage of photos to put over the music but when I placed a photo on top of the existing video, the video is on top of th3 photo so you only see the sides of the photo and the center is the core video image. I want to make the original video yield to whatever I lay on top of it so in the end you will not see any part of the original video. It will be completely covered over by my selected photos. How to I prioritize my added photos over the top of the video?

Is there anyone whose Appimage OpenShot 3.2 works with Vaapi GPU acceleration? In my case, the program does not detect the graphics card and blibliotek, even though they are certainly installed. My system is Fedora 39 based and the graphics card is RX 6600 XT.

I've been using Prem for a long time, how does this fair against Adobe and other editing software?

I was having a ton of trouble with trying to get this thing to work and to make videos because I had no ideo how to but thanks to this tutorial I now know what I am doing

Danke für Dein Video. Ich arbeite auch gerne mit open shot. Nun habe ich aber eine neue INSTA 360 GO, die mp4 Videos ausgibt. Diese werden von open shot aber nur sehr klein im Programm angezeigt, do auch auf CZcams. Andere Videos mit anderen Dateiendungen werden normal groß angezeigt. Verarbeitet das Programm keine Videos mit mp4 Endungen? 🤔

Quick question: is there a website you can recommend where I can import elements or can I use elements (like lens flares etc) from other systems? What type of extension do I have to search for? so, why 720p mp4 video h.264 at 500kbps (youtube video download quality) will be much lower quality at same bitrate on openshot low quality. med and high quality bitrate produces much larger file sizes at 5mbit/s and 15mbit/s. is libx264 not optimized.

Is there option " green screen" ?
