As a Norwegian, I'm disappointed that Trolls are just 'the viking fey', rather than drawing upon the ideas and themes present in more contemporary scandinavian folklore. FORTUNATELY, there are other terms that refer to general supernatural beings! One that we have in Norway at least is 'Vette' (Vetter plural). Though they're incredibly varied, I think one could make a Kith out of them based on general themes of Norwegian folklore. One common theme is one of supernatural creatures being very karmic, interacting with humans and either helping them if they're treated kindly and with respect, or otherwise being very vengeful. This could manifest as Vetter being very generous and loyal towards those who treat them well, but extremely vengeful when wronged or disrespected (which I suppose Changeling's trolls do have to an extent). Vetter are also generally strongly tied to a particular type of natural feature, like mountains, forests, freshwater, saltwater, and even houses, which could maybe play into their powers in some way. As the latter bit implies, they're generally very strongly tied to nature, so maybe they could be a Kith that's strongly tied to nature, perhaps deriving glamour from humanity's dreams, wonder, and imagination surrounding nature- the awe you feel witnessing a colossal waterfall cascading down a towering mountain, the wonder and beauty of a sunlit forest at the height of summer, the majesty and mysticism of the vast sea crashing against the shore. And equally, the fear and terror of a dark forest at night, the cold terror of a winter for which you're unprepared, or a harrowing storm threatening to drag you into the sea. This would also play into the element of karma and what some of those stories say: Respect nature. Treat nature with respect, and you will thrive. Disrespect nature, and it will destroy you. Of course, given the existence of vetter that dwell in houses, you could perhaps also regard urban life as a form of 'nature', with the splendor of beautiful architecture and the positive aspects of urban life potentially serving the same role. Another recurring theme in a lot of folk stories is also cunning and innovation. Finding clever solutions to problems rather than relying on brute strength- which again, plays into the respect for nature. There's at least one story in which the protagonist kills the troll not with martial strength, but tricking it into committing suicide by cutting open its own belly during an eating contest it would otherwise win handily- which it was only participating in because the protagonist tricked him into believing he was immensely strong. I don't know how these things could be represented as birthrights, but I think there's a decent amount to work with thematically to flesh them out as a Kith. Pragmatic, cunning, karmic, and with an appreciation for the splendor of the world around them. Perhaps their Frailty could be that they must, or are at least extremely strongly compelled to always return any gesture performed against them in equal measure: every kindness repaid, every show of disrespected avenged. An eye for an eye, a hand for a hand.

Well, iirc, adter a student takes their OWLs on the fifth year, they can more or less select their classes to focus on some areas (and in Prisioner of Azkaban Hermione has elective classes that Harry and Ron aren't enrolled), so i don't believe everyone knows every single spell in the world. More proof of that is that Harry has to teach DADA for the Dumbledore's Army, and even some "basic" spells like expelliarmus and stupefy...

my homebrew bloodline are technically just a group of Caitiff with a common ancestor and have their own history and traditions and culture. Bloodline Philopator was founded by the scholar best known as, well, Philopator. No one knows for sure where he came from or where he went, but the Philopator believe he was the childe of Elimelech, embraced around the same time as Zillah, Enoch and Irad, but Elimelech went off on his own rather than stay in the first city. Legend has it he stayed in the ancient near east and had an eye for spotting highly intelligent and talented people. He would embrace a few of those people, but even fewer would survive into classical antiquity. One of note was a teenage girl named Ki-Nba-Nu from the Titris-Hoyuk civilization. Frequently changing names and disguising herself as male, changing genders and names often in order to fit in with the society she infiltrated. Her longest lasting identity was of a Danish man named Waldemar, which is what they were known as when they began a famously infamous experiment: embrace a childe while disguised as various clans and see if the resulting childe is accepted into the clan. Their Ventrue experiment was on an Irish druidess and medicine woman named Aura in 666 AD. She believed entirely that she was of clan Ventrue, and traveled Eurasia embracing ten total childer, the most famous of them being Mansa Musa, Saint Audrey, and Rurik (whose bloodline lived until the death of Tsar Nikolai Romanov in 1917 AD as well as his mortal family and his thinblood son Alexei). It wasn’t until the 1960s that she was exiled from the camarilla upon realization that she was not truly ventrue. Despite the bloodhunt on her and her childer, the Philopator bloodline were experts in oral history and record-keeping that only a few of the best Nosferatu spies were able to get any information on. And since Aura had paid such respect and kindness to the Nosferatu of Nice, France, the Nos repaid her in kind by keeping the secrets of her descendants hidden. Although she was my player character so a lot of lore focused on her, she wasn’t Ki-Nba-Nu’s only successful clan infiltration, nor was she the most prolific embracer. Ki-Nba-Nu had sired hundreds, but only a tenth or so survived their first year of unlife. Those who didn’t die young often lived exceptionally long, even for vampires. The most prolific, Aura and her peers, went on to embrace at least three each, which doesn’t seem like a lot but rapidly multiplies especially over another thousand years. The Camarilla couldn’t hope to exile every Philopator from their ranks, even with cooperation from the Nosferatu. And while they aren’t as numerous as many estimate, the Camarilla have been paranoid of infiltrators ever since, and have doubled down on their “no caitiff allowed” rule. Legend has it Ki-Nba-Nu is still alive in modern nights, that Philopator lies in torpor in the unmarked sarcophagus in Aralu, and that Aura was most likely murdered by Niktuku in the 2010s. Several individuals claim to have been the one who ashed her, but none could prove it, and none could disprove each other. Either way, Aura hasn’t been seen in a decade or so, and those who believe Ki-Nba-Nu is still alive have good reason to think they are plotting a long and complicated methuselah-worthy revenge plan that may cause gehenna. That’s it. That’s my homebrew bloodline.

I knew MtA existed, but seeing this video I am reminded of Dirk Gently's BBC America series, the second and sadly last season. I won't risk spoiling any of it but I encourage you to see it (again) with some WoD lore in the back of your head, man what a treat! You can almost feel the Technocracy being summoned into existence
