A kestrel female is feeding its chicks with a mouse , but a jackdaw has seen that the tail of the kestrel is hanging outside the nest box , grips it and tries to pull the kestrel out of the box .

How did the chick die? Was it the Jackdaw? Starvation? Cold?
There was not enough prey , due to bad wheather grtz
So are Jackdaw's and Kesterl's natural enemies or is this just a Jackdaw trying to take out the competition? Edit: I have come to learn that the Kestrel's stole the nesting box from the Jackdaw's who were "wrestling" each other before the Kestrel's came along. I am still curious about whether or not they are natural enemies though.

What about the other one?
There are 2 times that a chick was pulled out . Each time I found the chick in the grass below , and was put back. Only the last time that I put a chick back is shown on camera . No chick was lost and they all made it eventually.
