Im opening up to you the viewer!!! now is the time to get all you questions answered the sky is the limit we are going to cover a wide variety of questions from bbq to aviation . Got a question ask it in the comments below! want to leave it anonymous? send me a private message through social media using the links below

    Try using vegetable oil. Takes a little time to get it lit, it's kindling temperature is high, but it burns slow, gets the charcoal going and has no foul odor or taste.

  • @WHOOP817
    @WHOOP817 Před 3 měsíci

    That's a great starter video. Charcoals that are not easy light I tend to have as much as the first set you used. Sometimes a spurt if a couple time after the initial light til I see the white edges then I'll let it die out. I think the biggest danger with adding more is if you do it after the flame goes out it releases fumes and can combust as it did in your video so if you add more after it goes out I light a paper and drop it instead of hand lighting. Charcoal chimney is the best method especially for lump. A great way to make a starter is with cardboard egg cartons some dryer lint and unscented candle wax. They burn for like 10 minutes and will get any fire started.

    • @pharmhound68
      @pharmhound68 Před 3 měsíci

      Use vegetable oil. No smell, no taste. Burns hot and really gets the charcoal going.

    • @WHOOP817
      @WHOOP817 Před 3 měsíci

      @@pharmhound68 I use it if I'm out of lighter fluid. Lighter fluid doesn't have a taste as long as you get the coals ashy. Best way imo is a chimney and use lump. I grill a lot so it saves a lot of money when used a couple times a week.

    • @WHOOP817
      @WHOOP817 Před 3 měsíci

      @@pharmhound68 slo you can just go off that initial light but sometimes you'll have some that kit well and others didn't so you can wait it out but if that happens rotate the grill when you first notice some didn't light to get the others lit.

    Spraying the newspaper with cooking oil helps keep the newspaper burning longer in a chimney starter. My Boy Scout troop used crumbled up newspaper that was dipped in cooking oil. Then the charcoal was piled on and lite. As long as the charcoal gets hot. It will eventually turn to ash. It's made to burn slowly. Trivia: After buying over 300,000 acres of land, Ford tried to be careful about reducing and reusing waste from these factories. The wood scraps from the Kingsford location were eventually converted into charcoal briquettes. These charcoal briquettes were made up of collected, dried, and burned in retorts.
