Heart and Carrie were both surprised. iHeart said when Carrie performed "Alone" on Carrie's iHeart show. Every one kept asking about this duet. Thus, iHeart Radio used their clout and thus this duet happen.

I grew up in a family with talented musicians and vocalists that played on the Ed Sullivan show. Great 2:12 performances even they were in their teens. She is something that they wouldn’t allow at that time because of the times. I am able to recognize talent. She has a gift from birth 😊

I still get goosebumps when I hear Carrie singing that song. If there's only one song I remember of all the seasons of American Idol I've seen is Alone by Carrie Underwood.

Carrie put her hometown on the map. As she said it used to be a quiet little town, but now, people want to go there to see where Carrie came from. I think Walmart took advantage of Carrie being so popular, they knew they would get the business.

Fans didn't know this duet was going to take place. All they knew was that Heart was performing. iHeart added Carrie as surprise. The interview with Carrie and Heart was done, couple of days before this performance. iHeart had to work around Carrie's concert schedule.
