Hey thank you for checking out the build. Though there are movements that come with a black date disk changing the disk from black to white gave me a chance to showcase the process on the channel. This disk also had the added benefit of being lumed in he same color as the hands and hour markers. Thank you for your support.

@@GoldenStateWatchShop Thanks for the advice. I ordered some parts and tools to give it a go. My daughter and I watch his videos a lot and she actually pointed it out when you said "and I called it good" she looked at me and was like wait is he the same guy? I commented and then we did a little A B comparison and realized he always says "and I called it done" But yes the attention to detail you share would do well on a collab I think. Perhaps build a watch for his western village and he bulds the display for the watch or something would be cool.

@@GoldenStateWatchShop So I commend you. I snagged a bunch of Seiko parts before diving into some real Submariners, and I learned a few things about myself: I'm f'ing blind and lack patience. I got most of the way there-the hands were a challenge, but I managed. However, the last step of fitting the movement holder into the case with the movement totally wrecked me. I had to put it away to revisit later, lol. It's kind of a watch at this point; the crown is cut, and that went fine...

oh yea the bezel is a nightmare to get off of the Chineseium case, it was not bad on the real Submariner which I did get fitted with a new bezel.

Hey thank you for your support I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the videos. You are correct, lubing the case back gasket is an important step to ensure water resistance. Originally I lacked the correct equipment to perform this step and decided on not documenting my technique as many would few it as incorrect. Since then I have acquired the needed tools and equipment to lubricant the case back, crown, and crown tube gaskets and this process will be shown in upcoming videos. That said the parts come from a variety of suppliers. Places like Namokimods, Lucius Atelier, Crystal times. Second Hand Mods is also a great place to look if you don't mind building with lightly used parts. eBay and Aliexpress have a vast amount of vendors and parts but it does take some time to sift through and find higher quality items on those platforms. Hey thank you for checking out the build. Nail polish would probably work to dissolve the adhesive strip. I've also heard of people using Golf Grip Remover and having good results. I would exercise caution if you decide to remove the bezel insert this way. When using strong solvents like this you run the risk of damaging other parts and gaskets within the bezel which can reduce its functionality. At least for the cases I use in these videos once the bezel insert is in place there is no way to pop off the bezel as the bezel retaining ring is hidden by the insert and cannot be taken out. Other cases are different and you may be able to pop the bezel off without issue, they may even hold the insert in place using tension rather then an adhesive. Hey man thank you for checking out the channel. Unfortunately I can’t say with confidence that a NH34 will fit into that case. Sometimes sellers will make one case and use a variety of movement holders to accommodate different movements but I can’t say for sure this Parnis case is like that. One additional thing to consider is that the dial and hands won’t fit the NH34 movement. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions. Aliexpress and EBay have a plethora of parts though it’s important to go through the listings carefully to be sure what you’re ordering is actually what you need. After unscrewing the crown from the crown tube the watch is considered to be in the 0 position which is used for winding the mainspring. Pulling the crown one click out puts it in the 1st position used for date and GMT hand adjustment. Pulling the crown out one more time will put the crown in the 2nd position, its final position, which is used for adjusting the time. Thank you for checking out the video! I have not modified the internals of the case in this video. One thing I would suggest is to double check that the case and movement spacer you ordered are for the NH series. Often times case suppliers will make one case and will have options to fit NH series, Miyota, or ETA movements. A simple mis-click may be the reason for your struggles.
