Igede, Esatko, Efemai, Owan, Ora are descendants of Prince Okpamen who later Became Oba Ozolua of Great Benin kingdom. Prince Okpamen who later became Oba Ozolua was the father of Ora-Ekpen, Ora-Ekpen has 12 sons, the Eldest Umale died early, AGBA is the 11th sons of Ora-Ekpen. The issues of broken pot are lies and propaganda. It just that Agba decided to migrated from Benin, passed through Idah and settled in present day Benue state. The Igede sons and daughters are descendants of Great Benin kingdom. This is the real history of Igede people

On the relationship of the Iyala people, it is common knowledge that theirs is a recent history of migration. Firstly, Iyala belong to the aboriginal Akpotos (now Idomas) that migrated in search of fertile clay sand for local pot moulding and salt mining for consumption but never return back home, but instead decided to settle down there. They are not limited to Iyala, their present settlement, but scattered all over Cross River North and Western Cameroon next to Ikom, where they found deposits of salt to mine. Infact they are the product of Akpoto/Igala aborigines that inhabited the present day Nsukka, Igbo Eze, Obollo and even Ette in Enugu State ; Ogugu, Olamaboro, Ankpa and Imane areas of Igala land and the Otukpa, Orokamu, Owukpa, Edumoga, Ichama, Igumale. Akpoto-Igala is their aboriginal language which the Efik of Calabar has corrupted as Iyara or Iyala due to colonial linguistic pronounciation today.. Their migration to Cross River North of Ogoja is very recent in history. Ette is an aboriginal Akpoto settlement and later became popular as a slave trading point on the coming of the European slave traders. Presently, Ette is home to many and not only Idomas. You have the Igalas, Idoma, Igbos, Nupes, Housas with the Idomas as majority. In fact, the Owukpa, Otukpa, Orokamu and Edumoga who happened to be the aborigines of Ette constitute the majority settlers. We leave the rest to another day. Thank you Apa TV.

Some of us have listened to the account being given of the history of the Igede people. Though, interesting it is, there are some questions to be clarified. Some of these questions border on:- - Distance from migration origin to present location; - Physical features & barriers such as rivers in particular etc. - Some of the present account seem not to have proper foundation, but merely academic assumptions and postulation.; - No one seems not to talk of the"Akpotos" & the "Agatus" that were the aborigines that inhabited the forests East of the River Niger and South of River Benue.who , everybody knows constitute or transform to modern "Idoma" and consequent Idoma language. - The similarity in language and culture is evidence of common aboriginal existence. - The fact remains that all the historical narrative came after the coming of the European. No body has been able to say anything about the existence before the coming of the European that heralded slavery and subsequently, education. - Notice has not been taken of the influence of The Atta Igara or Igala as known by some people that was in control of the Area East of the Niger and South of Benue. - Idoma Chiefdom was a Colonial creation in the 1950s. - To many people, it will be agreed rightly that all these stories are just mere historical assumptions of modern age as the the real historical facts remain hidden in myths, because no one has been able to establish the civilisation that existed before the coming of the Europeans. - There is therefore the need for a thorough endearing historical research rather than the present which only aim has been to earn a certificate for daily bread - a colonial legacy. I will stop here for now. But before then, I will hasten to add that we should look at having a purposeful research team that will unravel all these hidden history. This is because the world was existing before we came and will continue to exist after we have exited. And as we exited so there continue to be changes in our historical narrative. The only saving grace now is this advent of modernity

The diversity in the Idoma kingdom is very beautiful to watch, Orakamu Idoma seems the most polished and easy to understand. No tongue twisters just straight to it. The presenter said Epon, Uncle John said Enyi the both means water but Enyi in some other idoma dialect means the locally made Kwunu drink, Orakamu over time found a way to communicate with clarity added adjectives EYIN'O'GWA meaning drinking water, EYIN'OFU meaning cold water, EYIN'UMU meaning Kwunu, Within Orakamu Dialect UMU is Kwunu. I love the Idoma land.
