    All vfrs are good i have 3 of them 2 750 models and 1200f had a 800 8th gen great bike had it 4 yr but just fancied a 1200 like you do like you said in the clip 800vfr has more than enough power for the road will easly keep with newer bikes and bigger cc ones myself having both a v tec one and a gear driven cam one prefer the gear driven cam motor been a honda they run for ever.

    My best touring mod was an adapter from ebay that lowered my foot pegs 25mms. My right hip gets a bit annoyed sometimes although im just passed 30 and also pretty short. Only thing left is my wrist get a bit achy after many hours but i manage, also have the motocnc raising kit on there. Could do a real handlebar conversion probably but costly and the clip ons look great. :) Great video!

    My 5th gen VFR800FI was far better than I expected it to be, the press have always painted it as a old man’s tourer but it’s properly fast when it use all the revs of that fantastic bulletproof V4 motor! Braked well, turned in too, did 2.5 x the speed limit, wheelied, comfortable too, only downside was the single sided swingarm seized up

    The RS has a lousy Dealer network, reliability issues, and if you change one thing on the Bike you lose your warranty. And with a Bike with Shit-Show reliability, pass on the RS , and go with the Triumph.

    • @HeroRRvlogs
      @HeroRRvlogs Před 15 dny

      Almost all warranties are written in a way that if you change anything it can void them. The benefit of the aprilia is there's really nothing to change anyway, it already has the best parts. Reliability won't be as good, but I haven't read many reports of the RS660 having terrible reliability, at the end of the day it's a sport bike not a sport touring bike, how many miles would you put on it a year anyway? The triple engine is sweet, but I think I'd rather have 30 lbs less weight if it were my choice but I totally understand why someone would pick up the daytona instead for the reasons you listed.

    • @HeroRRvlogs
      @HeroRRvlogs Před 21 dnem

      If you really want to cut it, then go online and buy an already cut one and save the original (or sell it).

  • @roboman2444
    @roboman2444 Před 22 dny

    I modified a "classic" 93 Duc because the stock R/R died, and i replaced it with a much more reliable modern system. Probably gained a half horsepower out of it too, since its a mosfet style instead of shunt style regulator.

  • @dorayaki5494
    @dorayaki5494 Před 22 dny

    If you don't ride your bike keep it OEM. If you do just do whatever you want to improve your experience. Aesthetically or performance wise. Still save your older parts if you got em. Btw HeroRR BBirds being OEM is common and there are plentyful where I live and it adds nothing to their price. Same goes for VFR800's, 750's etc... Modded bikes don't either but atleast the rider probably did them to enhance their own riding experience. And that's worth something in the end.

  • @F3udF1st
    @F3udF1st Před 22 dny

    All bikes will eventually be classic bikes. Therefore never modify any bike, period. Non-OEM mods never add value, and many OEM mods don't either. But it's your bike do whatever, it's not like I would want to forbid anyone.

    I have a F4i, 100% OEM stock, and I absolutely love it. Even though not a special bike, but it still feels and looks like a time machine. Thinking about adding non-cut frame sliders, but that's it.

    • @HeroRRvlogs
      @HeroRRvlogs Před 21 dnem

      The F4i IS a special bike, one of the best bikes Honda ever produced, it made arguably the biggest leap of any of the honda 600's when it first came out.

    @Lethrow Před 23 dny

    Unmodified vehicles are worth more to the wrong people obviously cheap parts are different. However people who want bone stock over anything aren’t riders or drivers they are collectors. So in other words only asshats who care more about the money a vehicle can bring than the experience and ownership. Its simple elitism and encouraging it takes away from the actual hobby of riding/driving Sorry hero but this is where this opinion belongs🗑️

  •  Před 23 dny

    Main problem with theses bike's is that the wiring loom has a defect in the main connector block earth to the headlight . When this fails , the bike completely shuts off as the headlight acts like a kill switch. I belive in the states there was a recall for a new wiring loom to be fitted. How do I know this, its because i had a vfr800 and it happened to me on several occasion until I finally found out about the problem. But over here they said that it was never was an issue . The fix was to remove the n s fairing, locate the large wiring loom block and find the earth on either side. Now you have to by pass the earth from the headlight loom to the main wiring loom. So if your vfr cuts out and you dont know why, thats your problem and simple fix. Uk 🇬🇧

    Me and my friend both started on 600's as our first bikes, neither of us had any riding experience other than the MSF course a week before we bought our bikes lol I got a 07 FZ6 and he got a 04 R6. Neither of us regret it at all, especially me with the FZ6. One of the best starter bikes you can get imo. Upright comfortable seating position but still able to tuck if you really want to. Tame if you keep it under like 9000rpm but will still do 130mph like its nothing.
