In my experience, sometimes it nails the reference straight away and other times... well, it takes a few tries 😊 I admire folks like yourself that can use some of these tools on a mobile device. I'm usually working from a desktop with 2x 27" monitors and sometimes still wish I had more room! 🤣🤣 And don't get me started on mobile navigation - Last night I tried to edit a scenario on make.com via my phone and it was fantastically infuriating!

I am, but I thought the free plan allowed it. However, this tutorial may be prior to the redesign of the image generation page. On the left, switch the preset to anything other than Phoenix (that model doesn't support image guidance yet) then look for a faded icon like an image inside the prompt box toward the left. Click it and you should see image guidance options. Or, in the upper right corner of the image generation page, click the toggle that says 'legacy" and then everything should look and work like my video shows.

@@excelerator yeah, thought so. The FREE version is maddening. I need to create a book cover for a word search puzzle book for adults. I was trying to do this in Canva (i'm a total newbie) but it took hours and the result is .. ;meh... Could be much better. So, I started looking towards A.I. and Leonardo looks nice but I have no idea how to start and what to do. Would appreciate some help if you're willing. I'm not selling yet, so I won't be able to invest anything in those softwares like book bolt and others.

Ah, I see the dilemma. Canva is great if you are OK with manually manipulating every element of the design, or if you can find a template that has MOST of what you want. Not so good for auto-magically composing a design that matches what you might be envisioning. In Leonardo, I'm not sure that using image guidance is your best route. You might be better off generating the image from a good text prompt using the Phoenix model (especially since you will have text in your image.) Browse the community feed to see if you spot something 'close' to what you're looking for to get some guidance on the settings and prompt details that might achieve that. Another way might be to generate the background, whether that's truly just a background image or generating all the images you want on your cover in leonardo and then take them into Canva and compose them together there and add your text on top within Canva. I'd say you could do some of this in the Leonardo canvas editor, but I don't think it's really beginner-friendly or free-plan friendly. For one-on-one help in Leonardo, I recommend the Leonardo AI Discord. A wonderful mod that goes by Willow B is super helpful and patient. She runs the CZcams channel @WillowsAIAcademy and is one of the kindest people you'll meet.

I'm in the same boat as you... When I went to try it, it was pay before you play. Kinda glad I didn't get into it and memorize all those parameter codes!! I'm totally fine with it being a paid service, I just think it's the norm to expect a short test drive before committing.

I'm sorry, I'm not following. The play head should go where you click.

@@excelerator It moves to where you click if you DON'T point the frame, just the place above it, or below it. If you click on a frame with the mouse, the slider does not move to that location.

Yes, the b-roll is basic stock. Not sure if it was this video or the other one I made on invideo, but some clips don't fit the aspect ratio and some are kinda cheesy graphic clip-art looking things. Like I said, the idea that it's one click and no editing is just nuts. It's irritating that some folks promote it that way. Thanks for sharing you're experience here for others to consider, and not just my opinion.

It's simple, but tricky! Once you have the mask over the picture of you, centered and sized the way you want it, you have to click back to the Video-Basic tab on the upper right. Otherwise it stays in mask mode and you can't move or resize the thing.

Yes, within the Mask properties (the spot where you select Circle as your mask type) is where you set the size and position of the circle, in relation to your face. If you start with a video of you where your face is full-size in the center of the screen, that's OK, just make the masked circle proportionate and centered around your face - even if the circle and your face are still huge, you're just getting the relationship right in this step. Once the face is in the right place inside the circle and the size of the circle in relation to the face is good, then switch back to the vide-basic tab and resize and reposition the now-masked circle and face on the screen.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me why I'm wrong or what I'm missing for thinking that way 🤔

Appreciate your POV, especially since you use midjourney and other platforms. I find myself switching models or platforms sometimes to get a specific thing - or if my promoting just isn't working with one platform I'll try another to see if it understands me better.

So glad you are enjoying my videos!! The typical answer to picking between TimeBolt and Descript would be "It depends on your needs." But, I don't like typical answers. 😊 Understanding that TimeBolt and Descript are really different, if I had it to do over again, I'd start with TimeBolt. I wish I had not become so dependent on transcript-based editing because, while it does help, it also leaves a lot to be desired. For example, when I use Descript to cut out silences ("shorten word gaps") I can't just trust it. I have to go back through the whole thing and listen carefully because it will inevitably cut off the ends of words, beginnings of words, and sometimes entire phrases (that makes it very confusing and wastes my time trying to figure out what's missing, and in some cases I've probably published without realizing an entire phrase was eliminated OR I've edited out a section because the parts that were left around the missing phrase didn't make sense and I mistakenly assumed I recorded something that didn't make sense.) The transcript is also notoriously inaccurate, as most AI transcripts are. I'm just disappointed that after this long in the game of transcript-based editing, Descript hasn't gotten where I feel like it should be. Descript isn't bad, I still use it and it has a lot to offer. But, TimeBolt does what it's supposed to do without making me go back and fix it's work. TimeBolt also saves me a lot more time in editing than Descript does. I hope that answers your question and, if there's anything else you'd like to know, I'm all ears.

Sorry for the late response. I checked out your channel and you look so familiar. Can't figure out if you look like someone I know or if it's like 2Pac and Suge mixed together. 😊🤣 (that's a compliment by the way) For streaming live with 2 or more, StreamYard is probably the easiest and most reliable thing out there. I haven't streamed with it myself, but know many who do, and I've used it to record remote sessions for another channel when me and my co-host can't be in the same place. If you don't mind a suggestion... your reaction vids have an audio echo that makes it kinda hard to keep track of what's happening. I could be wrong, but it sounds like maybe you're getting the device audio (whatever is playing the video you're watching and reacting to) and the same audio (of the original thing you're watching) through your mic. If that's the case, you might want to figure out how to not capture the audio coming out the speakers in the mic you're recording yourself with. Or, when you edit, cut the duplicate audio of the thing you're watching from the track that has your voice in it. Just a suggestion. Only trying to help. But you do you! I think you have the style, swagger, and charisma to do big things!! (I'm envious!) I'm down for a collab - but I need some more time in the day before I can make that happen. So many things I want to do but, being a one-man-show, I just can't get it all.
