I live, work, and cycle in West of Tokyo in Kanagawa Japan, not so far from Yokohama. My routes vary from short 50km trips from Machida to Enoshima, to longer 120km routes reaching Yokosuka, Kamakura, and Hakone.
In summer, I drag myself out the house at sunrise, returning by breakfast time to beat the heat and humidity. Routes lead south to Enoshima for a refreshing sea breeze or west to the foothills of Hakone. In winter I leave between 10 am and 2 pm enjoying the sunshine and chill winds from Mt. Fuji.
Japan's well-maintained roads offer a smooth ride, with river paths like Sagami and Sakai providing truck-free distances. Vending machines, a cyclist's boon, offer ice cold drinks never more than ten minutes away, explaining the non-standard bottle cages.
I post videos here as and when, and write up longer adventures on my website.

(@ 19:07) Being passed by a mom on a loaded mamachari, Oh! The Humanity! (LOL) T'was the last day of my vacation in Japan in 2019 when I happened onto this ride with HFC and rode the rest of it. No sarcasm, a true bucket-list moment for me. Hope to get back to Tokyo and ride with y'all again, but I think it'll be 2 more years before that will come to fruition. In the meantime, I'm lovin' this video, and livin' vicariously through it. Thank you! And, Cheers, all!

I went cycling to Enoshima from Kofu and I forgot to come in Enoshima Station. That's my one of my list but went pass there. Then I continued to Yokohama and Tokyo. Have a safe ride!
Hi there @harusame101 They cleaned up and expanded the station for the Olympics, so it looks pretty good these days. It does get really busy in the summer as a meeting place so it's not always easy to get a photograph.
