SynthWaves | Synthesizer Music with a groove
I strongly recommend to stand up and move your feet - get ready for 4 minutes of pure synthesizer groove.
It all started with the robot-like sound patch made on the ASM Hydrasynth - which actually is just 2 saw-waves sent through heavily modulated filters. Than I added the raw sounding bassline with the Moog Matriarch. Other Synthesizers used are Novation Summit, Moog Minitaur, and Arturia MatrixBrute.

Great arrangement. How do you compare the prophet 6 and the summit? My matriarch needs a poly friend and I am looking at these 2 I am worried that the summit might be overlapping with my vst synths
Thanks! I have sold the Prophet 6 - Repro 1 and 5 have taken over this part; The summit is my inspiration machine - it is much more versatile; I haven't found a VST yet that inspires me as much; generally speaking, if you don't perform live, every hardware synth can be replaced by a VST, except for the Moogs.

This was awesome! Very inspirational. You earned a sub. Have a Summit and a Push 3 with a Matriarch on the way later this month. Have been wondering about how the three devices will pair and this is a perfect demonstration. Still rocking with these instruments a couple of years later or have you changed your setup much?
Thank you! The Summit is my workhorse synth, it will never ever leave the studio, Matriarch currently is used heavily for fat basslines along with the Moog Minitaur. The PERfourmer is gone - liked the sound but it really is geared towards performance - the MIDI implementation doesn't even allow to control the filter cutoff. Looking at the list above - yes, a lot more has changed: Hydrasynth Deluxe replaced with 49 Key Version, Prophet 6 , Pro 3, Minilogue and AR are gone - Matrixbrute and Pro 2 are the new toys. No more Push here - using Bitwig now. Really happy with this setup - check my profile for current updates ;-). Enjoy your journey!

@@712Jefferson The Prophet 6 I found too limiting - and I am able to get that sound into the mix with Repro-1 and Repro-5, the PRO 3 had to go because I needed the money for my dream guitar :D - I just recently picked up the PRO2 and like it even better than the PRO 3 - for half the price ;-)

Thank you! This one was made in Ableton which I no longer use - I switched to Bitwig Studio. Maybe I can come up with a new track with more detailed insights. In the end, it takes more time to edit the video than composing the track with STEPIC.

I'm afraid it's a bit too long ago since I made this, and I don't use Stepic often at the moment for the current projects I'm working on.

🎉 Great track. I've fallen in deep passionate live Stepic over the last few weeks. I've also taken to ising it to drive other sequencers and arps. So fun.
It's indeed an awesome software. Haven't had the time to test the latest version, but I actually replaced my hardware sequencers with it.

Wow, that's a really crazy application of Stepic, without any MIDI notes at all 👍 Cool Idea! Maybe an additional use of ratcheting or decreasing/randomizing the quantization of one or more steps/tracks could roundup that genial idea, also to reduce the little little "mechanical" feeling of the song/rhythm. Very good that you typed some comments in the video to describe what's happening! Inspiring video, thanks a lot
Thanks for your comment. I think 10 out of 14 tracks actually do have randomized triggers of note values. Ratcheting indeed could have made the rhythm part slightly more interesting - good idea!
