What kind of 50cc record? Speed? Forget it without aerodynamic fairings. The air resistance is a big handicap for an engine with so low torque.

I don't know what mph you're going for, but you do know that NSU did 96mph in around 1957 with their air cooled 50cc moped engine, in the moped frame. ??

When first watching this I thought, hey a Dutchman at it! In The Netherlands we used to have extremely succesful 50cc racing teams, mostly fielding Kreidler powered bikes.

The cracks in the exhaust are caused by the high frequency vibrations - I wish I had a useful suggestion but I'm wondering what metal would have the best fatigue resistance

I'd LOVE to see some more focus on the motorized bicycle scene from you. Maybe sometime in the future? The mb hobby has done nothing other then get better in the last few years. Billet case Piaggios, Minarelli horizontal/ vertical setups, Liquid cooled AM6 builds. Or even an Avenger 85 for affordable decent out of the box power. Billet stroker cranks are even easy to purchase now. Just a thought, thanks! Edit.... Contact Smolik Performance for all of the billet engines. The Avenger 85 can be purchased just about anywhere at this point, Amazon, ebay, etc.

I traveled across the US with a rifle case full of firearms (big range day with my Pops). I laid everything out, told them all firing parts were separated, and put a note with each firearm giving make, model, and serial number. When I picked it up from claims, they thanked me for making it so easy to check everything. Has anyone ever been THANKED from any airport personnel?

Using a bone stock cheap 49cc weed wacker motor from china I can get 45 mph at 6500 RPMs by utilizing a 3 speed shimano internal gear hub as a jack shaft. Ratios are 0.75, 1.0, 1.33. Theres almost no friction in the transmision. Im pretty sure a stock GP49 would hit 60mph without a pipe. Short video of my whip is on my channel.
