This is cool. I have a 1968 Comet 30. It is a 306X model that has the original 6 hp engine. It has the original seat that is red and white leather.

Been searching for a pump mount solution for my repower and yours is just the ticket.

A good way to quickly check to see spark and all is to just put a little either or gas down the plug if it fires off and sounds good probably just need a good cleaning

When trying to start ANY engine that hasn't ran in a while, don't fight it. Just get a propane torch, crack the valve to let the gas out then have some one pulling the rope and it will srart and run on the propane. A ole guy taught me that trick when i was younger, about 60+ years ago. The ole guys have many tricks up their sleeves.

This engine have lowe compression in the cylinders, need rebuild or replace the engine rings,Is why take so long to startup, and also some times when this happen the diesel pump need rebuilt with the Injectors tips,but MF to me is the best tractors because is so reliable in fuel, better than John deere because is more easy to repair them in this particular size like 165,175 ,265 285 to first 290 with A248

I like what you have done with your 446. Should run forever. I'll bet it would run a week on a tank. My Case 195 on the other hand is not so good on fuel consumption. Only about 10 gal. each hour and that's because I have a Garrett Gas turbine in it. Very hard on the fuel budget but extremely high on the cool aspect. I'm Al and I like what I see. cool but a lot of tractor to just use to pull a wagon. This engine has no power take off to use for any of the original attachments.

That engine sounds like it needed a 10th gear ⚙️ those old-school trucks you definitely had to manhandled them the way he's handling it with that smooth double clutching shifts
