As an Asian American Personally, I prefer Vietnamese food ( Asian food)) because it’s fresh and comes with a lot of vegetables. I’m not a meat or cheese fans.
I agree, the Vietnamese food is much more healthy and fresh, but every now and then I like a Burger too 🙈😂
The food catered to westerners is sweet. The food from the south is sweeter than the north as well.

In Vietnam the taste of food is not the same from one region to another . In the South people prefer sweet food and in the North they like salty one . And it's also different from one restaurant to another depending on the chief cook .

Here's fun fact, Kanom Tokyo (ขนมโตเกียว) have origin related to the original Japanese pancake before it becomes known as dorayaki in Japan later which is pancake sandwiches between red bean paste. Khanom Tokyo is more related to the older version of the Japanese pancake

Ped nid noi mean a bit more spicy.If you want less spicy say Ped noy (เผ็ดน้อย) as she said 2:44 or Ped nid diew ( little bit spicy) do not use noi.

They all have pretty much the same meanings ped nid noi (เผ็ดนิดหน่อย) ped noy (เผ็ดน้อย) ped nid diew (เผ็ดนิดเดียว) all of them pretty much mean "a little bit spicy" so use whatever you like 😅

Been at the old foodcourt plus 5 times during stay at Centre Point. Loved it . Will miss the atmosfare but hope that the new isnt that bad. Big Chang 60 bath from a older Lady in the entrance who didn't smile. 😊

Mmmm, the locals need all the help they can get, so why not tell us the locations on the vlog for maximum exposure for their business 🤷♂️. There’s a beautiful Buddhist temple called Wat Ruese Pa Saeng Tham right next to the Chinese temple that’s also well worth checking out, very interesting structures in an amazing natural setting!

Isan-style som tum usually doesn't have peanuts in it.
In this video you see a tam taeng kwaa ( Thai cucumber salad) and not a som tam ( papaya salad) and the restaurant owner comes definitely from the Isan region so I think he knows how to do his salads 😉 ... anyway it was very delicious
@@streetfoodpete I live in Isan all my life, I’ve never had tam tang with peanuts. Ground peanuts is for noodles condiments. And it’s quite dangerous since Westerners tend to allergic to peanuts.
