Jor, do you think it’s a good idea to have multiple (2 or 3) HW device? For example divide your btc stack into a passport, a CC and a Trezor with diff 12 words for each and diff passphrase for each (no multi sig). Some ppl say never to have all your stack in one HW for extra safety, in case one is hacked somehow?

Great talk, man. I have been buying it since 2019 /20. And am off exchanges. I have 0 intention of buying anything with my bitcoin. Or selling. I’ll reward myself some day (maybe) lets put it this way: my bitcoin investment is in 3rd place as far as my assets and value. House alleged value being in 1st place and my company match retirement in 2nd. The house and retirement were started years and years ago & bitcoin has sky rocketed for me. It’s all “disposable income” and (god forbid) if I lost it, it changes nothing about my current lifestyle. My mindset at this point in life is feeling more of a loss and like I squandered away money if I spend $50-$100 bucks on going out to dinner vs cook at home. I allow myself some hobbies but have been showing self control and discipline with my stacking habits. I have few regrets. When bitcoin was in the $16k range, I coincidentally had some hard financial hits with some car repair, home repair stuff. I still had that disposable income to stack but wish I had bought 5 bitcoin by refinancing my condo at 3% rate. Oh well.. i owe $125k on my place at 4.6%

I'm a CPWA, been in wealth management for 25 years now. I personally was an early adopter of BTC/ETH et al in '16 and still am a holder today. That said, the problem is many of us cannot custody cryptos yet. I'm not sure my firm will ever allow it at this point because we're owned by a socialist bank.

Banks are definitely involved in money creation. If you take out a mortgage at your local bank, the money gets created in the process. But agreed, it's good that banks see the sense of bitcoin. In fact, they should provide services for it, because they would get disintermediated by CBDCs.

Good analysis. The economies of scale for mining are influenced by the number of miners, for sure, if that number drops, the survivors get more profitable. But there will be equilibrium, always. The winners will be those farms in the lowest cost electricity areas, in cold climates. They get cheap power and cooling. Anyone not in these areas will be forced out, regardless of how efficient they are.

Think it was three years ago when I walked into my local convivence store and to my amazement, there was a BTC/ETH/LTC atm. I was so stunned, I took a pic of it and sent it to my friends and family. I still frequent the store and each time I do, they give me a general update on how many people are using it and how much $. It's insane

People are too leery to buy Bitcoin b/c the industry is a blood thirsty business with a LOT of scammer coins ie XRP trash people who like to say proof of work is going away so buy the bank coin you know b/c the banks are going insolvent which makes NO SENSE. The valedictorian at Ohio State just said in his speech that Bitcoin is good while the entire stadium booed him. The fact that Bitcoin is even slightly related to money everyone is leery b/c they only know one way to make money; which is to get a job and then save your money; there never is truly a get rich quick thing; they never work. People are very hesitant to change especially when it comes to money. Heck even when the internet was starting to go mainstream no one liked it so what makes us true Bitcoin maxies think things will be different? They will only be different for the ones that have the bravery to mine it or buy it and HODL on b/c we will be the ones that will be experiencing the modern day Renaissance VIVA BITCOIN!!
