ORANGE MARMALADE - Using the Ball freshTECH Jam & Jelly Maker

It's no secret I just love the Ball freshTECH Jam & Jelly Maker. I had a request for some Orange Marmalade, so I gave it a try. Once again, the freshTECH did not disappoint. This was my first time using Cara Cara oranges. I was pleased to find ZERO seeds in the five oranges I used. Even though the flesh of the orange has an odd color, I found the taste to be on point. QUICK & EASY MEATBALLS - Perfectly Baked to Add to Pasta Sauce or Pizza!

Tossing uncooked meatballs in to a pot of pasta sauce has always been disastrous for me. They end up falling apart during cooking and ultimately, I have meat sauce instead of sauce with meatballs. With this simple recipe, the meatballs bake until they are cooked through, then you can add them to your sauce or even a meatball pizza (watch for my video on this!). Meatballs are best if you use two...

I keep seeing this meme on social media stating that in the event of a power outage, you can heat water or soup on a makeshift stove using a muffin pan and tea lights. Now let me reiterate, I'm aware that worrying about the contents of your fridge or having heat/cooling in your home is a mor...

Happy belated birthday Marley!!❤I have a little 2lb chihuahua named Megan. She’s 14 and also doesn’t have any teeth. This sounds perfect! I’ll try this recipe. Thank you!! Keep up the good work! Loved the video!!…so I subscribed!😊
My fav!! Can’t wait to try it on my own! ❤
You can do it!!!
knob sleeve……. escutcheon is the correct term, knob sleeve could mean something else😂
Heard. I read that straight from the manual. 🤣
Marley is such a lucky furbaby to have you as his mama!
Awww!! Thank you so much!!
I just watched Stacy Gordon do this cool trick. It’s really handy. There’s all kinds of creative ways to cook with them.
It sure took a while, but it beats nothing! Be mindful of black burns on your pots and pans.
Marley is so cute!
Thank you!
Music too loud
I agree. This video was one of my earlier ones and I was still learning. I have considered taking some of those older videos down, but most CZcamsrs advise against it. Just learn, get better, move on. Thanks for commenting.
Be nice if you listed all the ingredients as most people do.
Thanks for the feedback. I always list ingredients and measurements during my videos.
Was the water boiling?
Yes. Water should be boiling and cover the tops of the jars. This was one of the first videos I made when I started my YT channel. Probably time to redo this one. Quality is not great.
Skip first 2 min
Others have also pointed this out. I was very new at video making when I did this one. There's a learning curve. By the way, I have another soft dog treat video coming in the next few days so stay tuned. This one gets straight to the recipe.
Any ideal where I can get copies of the books that came with my fresh tech I have lost mine
I checked eBay and I didn’t see any for sale on there. I don’t know that you would be able to get them through ball either. My suggestion would be do a Google search and see if you can find electronic versions of them online. Good luck!
That cream on top takes me right back to my childhood! Love it!!
It’s the best!
Do u no or tried doing apple and cinnamon in the jam maker if so can u let me no how please x
Are you talking about apple jelly or apple butter? I have not tried apple jelly in the jam maker, but that’s a very good suggestion because I love it. I make my apple butter in a crockpot and in my opinion it’s the best ever.
I’m making one tonight to take to my daughters tomorrow! Thanks
I know it will be a hit! Enjoy!
Great video. Right to the point. I have better luck with the perforated ones. Seems like my food sticks to the other ones for some reason.
Sometimes I add a little spray oil in the non-perforated ones. I made a second video with some newer liners I found. Waxy ones. Check it out if you like. Air Fryer Liners 2.0.
happy birthday Marley you sweet puppy
Thank you!!
I made this last week. So delicious!
Glad you enjoyed it!!!!
The thing that attracted me was the tomatoes. I love the thought of the acid it will brimg!
And tis the season for homegrown tomatoes! They are the best!!
Do jalapeño jam
That's a great suggestion. I tried a batch in the freshTECH last summer and ruined it. I think I'm ready to have another go at it!
Can you do sugar free seedless
I've never tried to make sugar free jam or jelly, although I've had a few requests. I'll search some recipes.
Hi Stacy; I really like your presentations! Just wanted to say I've used Welch's Grape Juice several times, and it does not have any added sugar. At lease the bottles I've bought don't. Also wanted to let you know I've created a Cherry Bomb Diggity Jelly recipe after watching your cherry jam making video. The jelly is now my most-requested from friends and family. I make it using the J&J Maker; it's not a double recipe, but it is a batch-and-a-half recipe (I call it an increased batch). I often use increased batches with great results. Here is my recipe for Cherry Bomb Diggity Jelly: 2 and 1/4 cups sweet black cherry juice, 2 and 1/4 cups tart black cherry juice, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, 6 Tbsp (+1 tsp) Ball Classic pectin, 3/4 tsp butter, and 5 and 1/4 cups sugar. Follow the normal usage for the J&J Maker on the Jelly cycle, adding 2 minutes to the time. Process as normal. You'll get about 7 half-pints. Keep having fun in the kitchen! :)
Cherry Bob Diggity sounds AMAZING!!! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this recipe I wish more people would do jelly recipes on here
@@misterbeeman3779 - thanks. I prefer jelly over jam. I've got a lovely Beauty Berry shrub flowering right now and the fruit should be ready by August or September. I'm going to attempt to make Beauty Berry Jelly with it. Will update you when that happens.

So good!!!!
First time using my maker! Thanks for the tutorial. We made 4 cups mulberry! Currently in the process of finishing it but again Thanks so much for the help! My son loves jam and it's awesome to make on our own. We used ball real fruit pectin no sugar.

It’s hard to go wrong with this one. I think you’ll enjoy!!
Loved the movie. I started with Tia Maria. While living in AZ, we traveled in Mexico and would bring bottles home. Back then it was not expensive in Mexico. I learned to make it from a friend.
Not only delicious, but also fun to make! And yes, the movie is great! 😆
Those look delicious!
You won't be disappointed!
Wondering about adding applesauce. What do you think? More info: We have a 17 y/o male Shih-Tzu, who is having a hard time now with eating, likely due to bad teeth (of teeth left). He's in the ups and downs stage of his twilight years. I've been cooking his meals for a while now, but now we're struggling to get meds in him even with home cooked meals. He does not trust there's not a pill hiding in there. He's almost blind, but can spot a pill in a second and spit it out immediately. Not sure this will help him at this late stage, but plan to try it soon. Hope he will eat it, at least for getting meds in him. Maybe if he feels better, then he msy go back to eating his home cooked meals. We know we might need to make a hard decision soon, if he doesn't start eating better. We are grateful there are are so many good humans like yourself, out there willing to share their own recipes that have worked in their own situation. God bless you and Marley.
Thank you so much. It warms my heart that the recipe is able to help people. I don’t suppose it would hurt anything to add applesauce but it might make them a little too tacky. Try them the way they are first and then maybe you could divide the batch out and add some applesauce to part of it to see what happens. Good luck. It’s so difficult when they start to age like that. ♥️
Aww! This is incredible as your lil one reminds me of mine! I also had 🥲 a black & tan yorkie (2.5lbs) with only one eye (accident) & absolutely no teeth because we had to do a full extraction due to severe decay. A big chunk of my time went to cooking soft dog food but it was fun and rewarding. 😇 He passed over the rainbow bridge this past March after a good life of 14 yrs 🌈 They look so much alike, sigh thank you for posting ❤
I got a lump in my throat reading this! Marley’s eye just dried up and even though drops were helping (a tiny bit), she was hiding from me all day long to avoid getting them. There was no quality of life for her until that eye came out. And I can totally relate to cooking soft dog food!!! Thanks for commenting!
I subscribed to your channel thru a google search i made on baking soft dog cookies. Your video on the no bake dog cookies was entertaining 😊
Thank you so much! I haven’t done any videos regarding soft dog treats in a while. I definitely need to consider doing another one!!!
Looks great
It really really is very very tasty
Cosori makes such good products, purchased their 13 and 1 oven with rotesserie four years ago and it still cooks like a champ. The oven you have looks really nice! Enjoyed your video. Happy cooking!
Thank you so much!!!
The classic recipe requires the cukes to be shredded and then placed in cheese cloth and squeezed until all water is removed. It is probably the most tedious part of making this wonderful dish. For the correct Benedictine consistency, which is an actual spread rather than a dip, the cukes must be dry of all their liquid. And a dash of hot sauce is added along with a small amount of finely shredded onion
Thank you for sharing 😃
Excellent video!!!
Chili Spaghetti is the best way to eat Cincinnati Recipe chili. But Yellow Mustard typically goes on Cheese Coneys. It is a key ingredient unless you do not like Mustard. Also Skyline Hot Sauce is a must for any Skyline dish.
Thanks for the tips!
This is just like my Gramma made!
I love it!!
Shalom Mm could make with any meat or non add veggies peas carrots etc Could if want make tiny roll dumplins rise in oven So many ways & as most said boxed bisquick or cheddar etc Thxs. I have a a nesco pan minature / bigger ones cooks like a oven but sets on counter awesome

thank you soooo much you and Marley from Adelaide South Australia
Thank you for watching!!
Use a spoon turned bowl side down for broth and soup mixture when you pour it out on casserole
Great tip!! Thank you!!
You can use the Red Lobster biscuit mix instead of self raising flour ( use season packet). Gives it an extra boost of flavor, either way it’s delicious and easy to make.Thank you for sharing!
Great idea!
Thank you.. Original
Yes ma’am! So much better than the “red velvet” they pass off at the grocery store.

Have you tried any recipes with the pectin for sugar free or light sugar? Or have you tried recipes reducing the amount of sugar or using honey or real syrup? thanks
In the fresh tech, I’ve had zero luck using any type of pectin other than the ball real fruit classic pectin. I might have ago at a light sugar or sugar substitute jam very soon. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@stacygordon-thatsmyjam Thank you for your response. I went ahead and tried blackberry jam. I used Ball's low sugar pectin and made a double batch using only 1/2 c of real syrup vs 7 cups of sugar. It worked well. I think the canner is basically just a heating/stirring tool, so I used the Ball recipe book. It's delicious and not too sweet.
