Since 1962, Chuck Hovey Yachts has been serving the West Coast United States Yachting Community. We have three West Coast offices, including Newport Beach (CA), San Diego (CA), and Seattle (WA). In 1985 we became the original dealer for Fleming Motoryachts, and today we maintain that relationship as the exclusive West Coast United States Fleming dealer.
Our company has over 60 years of brokerage experience representing clients in the market to purchase or offer their yachts for sale. All of our offices include multiple display slips and are located near multiple marine hardware stores and full-service shipyards.

"NAUTIA" is a pristine express cruiser, completely re-powered in 2021 with new twin Volvo IPS 400 diesels. These engines currently have only 85 hours and come with a full Volvo factory warranty with nearly 3 1/2 years remaining. The power plant is equipped with pod drives and joystick control for effortless maneuverability. This 2008 Tiara Yachts 3500 Sovran has been a Newport Beach vessel since new, originally commissioned in 2008 and delivered in 2009. She is now under the care of her second owner. Her ride is soft and dry, and the raised, air-conditioned bridge deck ensures exceptional visibility in all conditions. The spacious cabin features a queen-size island-style V-berth with storage beneath, a well-appointed galley, and a port-side Sofa/Teak Dinette that converts to a Pullman berth. The head is spacious, with a shower, and the aft lounge/entertainment area converts to a double berth, offering versatile living and entertaining spaces. The transom trunk provides ample storage for gear, lines, and fenders. Well kept boat for a 80', almost 45yo and still has style.
I am curious if the Fleming 55 can safely spend extended time in the upper Great Loop navigating the canals (Erie, Rideau, and Trent Severn) as well as Georgian Bay. The Fleming 55's 5' draft seems to be pushing the envelope. I have even read that the lock handlers require you to sign a waiver if you have a 5' or greater draft. In our perfect view, the Fleming 55 would be a wonderful boat to enjoy the Canada and NY State region of the Great Loop. However, peace of mind and boat safety take precedence. I am also not quite sure if the newest Fleming 55 has a hinged mast to lower its Air Draft if, in fact, this is necessary to pass under the 15'6" fixed bridge on the Erie Canal. MANY THANKS!
