I have carpul tunnel and its hell on earth😢
How many mls injection LA? What LA u use

can you take the injection if you are breastfeeding?
I will never have another steroid injection had them and never worked on me just more pain. numb it first to others who get these
May i ask a bit of an odd question. Can you ever numb the area for intensive manipulation of the pip/dip by the patient themself?😓 My index and ring Dip/pip are quite limited. The scarring etc is well and truly set after a couple of years. I can push it all the way. but it comes down to my pain threshold & commitment to work it all the way through. It's just a curiosity. Thanks for your time.
Will injection help for a boutinere deformity finger

I got this injection with 15 mg triamcinolone and 1 cc of 2% lidocaine and last week and laser therapy from medical rehabilitation specialist 3 days after the shot. 3 days after the first session the pain was reduced to 70%. Also it is important to imobilize the wrist. I used 4 cm elastic bandage and wrap around my palm and wrist all the time even when i sleep
Интересно от сильного удара может так болеть рука и отдать импульс в большой и уквзательный палец.
This hurts so much!
And me

Have this done twice a year, effect lasts about 3 weeks then back to the swelling and pain! Can anyone recommend the operation?
Im one month out from left hand surgery, they say my right hand is terrible, actually worse than the left. It’s very painful and I don’t want to do it again
I'm 7 months out on my trapeziectomy. Its a painful surgery but once recovered well worth it. I need to have left thumb done but I'm reluctant even though the outcome is good.
Hcrihdt
I have had this injection done by my hand surgeon today on my left thumb and it is the 3rd time that I have had him do this over several years. Initially my doctor X rayed the hand and determined the location of both the inflammation and the site of his injection. He typically begins by topically numbing the injection site with a cold spray and then inserts the needle. In all honesty I felt no pain and the end result is a joint that is more pain free afterwards
You felt no pain?????? Wow! I need your doctor!!!!!😖😖😖😖
Can xray detect inflammation? Thank you
The injection location is too low.
Agree
Got another on last Friday. Arthritis pain too much to tolerate. Injection did hurt like a SOB. Still a little sore.
U gonna be insane at COD. lol
oh what a crime. it is widely known among surgeons and orthopedists that this technique is not a solution for long term. it is just making easy money for the doctors like neil. tell us neil, did you operate that patient a year later? i bet you did a bit stem cell injections for more easy money and then convinced the patient for interposition. i would be impressed if you are able to do suspensionoplasty, then i ll call you a formidable surgeon.
Medical student here: Do you have any data on the outcome of Suspensionplasty useing an APL graft. im currious. Thank you and regards from Austria!
@@anifler i don’t have the data but you know the answer already. maximum dorsiflexion will be impossible with apl graft. whichever tendon you use the answer is simple, you lose some ability. from all the readings i read, the only viable option is mini tight rope IF the patient does not produce a foreign material reaction or other way is massive physiotherapy to strengthen the surrounding muscles. D vitamin depo injection is also a way but risky. you don’t want super high Ca levels and mess up with pth which makes the patient clinically insane.
@@anifler if you want to be a ground breaking in this field, focus on how we can build up the native cartilage or grow it in vitro and in situ and you will just have a nobel price. there are promising tests done by merck in 2020 which managed to grow cartilage in knees but not only specific to a knee but on whole body which sounds like gambling. they couldn’t fix the pain though after growing the cartilage.
@@anifler another thing is that start learning to play piano and understand the limitations for a pianist. for example, none of the tests for suspensionoplasty addresses the flexing of a thumb on z-axis. a patient or a human rarely streches the thumb on z axis so focus on why that is harder with suspensionoplasty.
@@BT-km7nl thanks a lot! :) have a great day
I had this today in the left hand, I just hope it helps a little painful nothing not as bad as when I had my elbow joint done, I'll have my right hand done next week.
Angela Bailey it will help max a year. you will be at square 1 in one year
oh 1 year is highly optimistic. it can be less than 2 months.
oh if it is your first time, your surgeon/orthopedist will suggest yet another one, say after 6 months. this is their routine to drain money. finally you will be offered interposition or suspensionoplasty, probably with a tendon.
@@BT-km7nl what are you the surgeon General. You are being a real downer to everybody. Each case is different. You must be really interested as you all over every video and comment. Hate to tell ya i got one and pain never came back. Been years. Give some hope buddy to others. They may have tendonitis. Your giving headaches. Go have a drink
@@kevinheskin5105 pain can leave but the structural issue is there. Yes, i am probably all over cmc joint videos. That’s because i want to see progress. And there is none. Sorry for a downer here but it is what it is. Even you check the arthiritis foundation 2021 sessions, you can see the videos of veteran researchers who practically gave up.
My skin colour of wrist was also changed
I had my left thumb injected today the injection is painful as you can feel the fluid going into your hand not nice, after about 1 hour I could not use that hand (typing this 1 handed) thumb and forefinger swell right up and the pain!!!! don"t think I will have it again,
Neville Gooch you shouldn’t.
Is it ok if my nurse-wife does it to me - injecting my trigger finger?
Had this done in both thumbs today. Pain was a 10 on a 10 scale for a few seconds and sore as hell now. Hopefully, it’ll help.
Thomas Cuddy it won’t. i am sorry.
Baran Topal - it helped for a week to ten days. Now I’m back to same old pain. Lidocaine rollon helps.
Thomas Cuddy well the literature is clear about this. These injections are simply to extort money from you. Change your doctor.
I just had one done 2 days ago . My thumb is in more pain than before !!!!
👍🇲🇽💯✔🙏
I had this done yesterday to both lower thumb joints, hurt like f...n hell.It felt like I was being lifted off the floor by my thumb.I won't do again.felt like my thumb was going to exlpode, just my experience.
oh no proper surgeon or orthopedist would suggest this. literature is full of solid evidence that this technique is bullshit.
@@BT-km7nl the beat goes on with you everbody dont listen to this douche. Hence guess he had bad time.
@@kevinheskin5105 well there are tons of papers in lancet proving A J’s state.
Whats worse pain injections between this or carpel tunnel?
Same
Thanks Doc. Could also explain about four point injection technique?
I thought they use a numbing spray or freeze
I had this injection done Friday. I’ll never do it again. It hurt really bad for hours after I go home. Feels good now.
Can anybody tell me whether the injection in the thumb is painful.i am having second thoughts about getting it done
Alison Plummer don’t do it.
I realized this arthritis treatment method “Rοngοdο Ruzο” (Google it) was working. The pain in my feet was because of arthritis went away thanks to this product. I propose patients of arthritis or tendonitis to utilize this treatment. On the other hand, you need to use faithfully in order for it to do its magic! .
Thanks for the very informative video. Having it done soon, very scared it will be very painful! :(
and both you will have the pain back really soon. i bet for a beer that you will be at square 1 in 1 year max. and you ll be offered this again. another bet, another beer.
@Nunsuch so how is it now?
@Nunsuch well statistically that’s nearly impossible unless you had an operation. if you didn’t have an op, then i owe you a beer!
@Nunsuch well after corona probably. i live in stockholm btw.
My nerves and my feet are struggling with pain and I also have arthritis (degenerative joint disease) on my lower back. This arthritis treatment method “Rοngοdο Ruzο” (Google it) truly does function! I put this on my elbows, hands, feet, and neck. Its wonderful effects keeps surprising me personally till right now. .
This arthritis treatment “Rοngοdο Ruzο” (Google it) is definitely the best product I have ever useful for my arthritis joint pain. It is a godsend. I am old and fairly active, work full-time, maintain a vegetable garden here in South Florida, execute a lot of lifting and carrying bags of soil and fertilizers, plus harvesting and pruning. .
The needle did not get INTO the joint
its not supposed to go into the joint when you got tendon inflamations
@@maginatd9404 Oops! Wrong video ! Thanks !
What if u have this in all fingers tho
