@milesbarnes6777 hi! That's really cool to know! I played the hell out of Skyrim several years ago, and I am definitely planning to go back for another playthrough at some point. My husband is a big fan of Fallout series, especially Fallout 4. I didn't know about the mod crossovers, but that makes a lot of sense! I think I've seen some videos for Oblivion 4K overhauls that are absolutely breathtaking! My goal is for the Washburn Edition to enhance the experience of people already playing, bring former players back to the game, and welcome new ones! In my opinion, Sims 3 is the best in The Sims series, especially once you add mods in! Although Sims 2 will always have a special place in my heart. I would love to see people make content with my mods list! I'm planning on making my own content, build videos, and let's play stories once I finish V5! I love this game, and I really love playing out scenarios and building lives for my Sims ❤️ I am a story teller at heart 😁

@stargirl5194 oh I can't wait to get a gaming pc! However, the game actually looks even better on my computer than it does on my in these videos! I make these videos by recording in game clips and stringing them together in Microsoft clipchamp. Unfortunately, the video resolution is limited, so I can't share with you all the full beauty of the Washburn Edition Version 5 at the moment. But in the future, I plan to get software so I can record my screen in 4K resolution. Super excited for that!

Shared 2 picturs on reddit and i typed ''can sims 4 beat this'' , it got over 1000 likes and got removed by administrator of sims saying that i insulted sims 4 community by posting it. I plan on posting about the Washburn Edition on Reddit at some point, good to know that they will kick me off if I speak ill of the Sims 4 😂 Reddit is a weird place LOL Sims 3 is definitely a superior game, especially once you start adding mods in! Also, I just looked up that world, and it looks stunning! I can't wait to get into custom worlds. I remember when I discovered the traveler mod, it was a total game changer! I think I'll actually do a mod spotlight for that mod because I love it so much LOL

@honinakecheta601 I completely understand! I was very overwhelmed by modding when I first got started. There was definitely a lot to learn. If you're interested, I made a comprehensive guide video on installing mods. I have also used those mods by Lazy Duchess. There is definitely a learning curve to install them. I'm not currently using them on Version 5, I'm just using Boring Bones Beta Lighting mod. I also wish there was an easier way to install mods for The Sims 3. At some point, I hope there will be. I mean, we have a really amazing modding community that I'm sure will come up with something at some point 😊 And once they do, I'll be sure to make a video to announce it! In the meantime, do you have any questions about installing mods?

@@GoldenEnninasSims3 I will def check out your guide, and look into the BBB Lighting mod. Right now I am looking for a way to make the lighting and shadows in my game look better, I have a pretty beefy rig so I can play Sims 3 on its highest settings with mods no problem just need a good guide for installing light and shadow upgrades

@honinakecheta601 well then boring bones lighting mod is for you! It's really easy to install, you just download it and put it into your overrides folder 😁 outside of the 4K terrain mod, and a few smaller mods that's mainly what's making my game look so good!

@@GoldenEnninasSims3 No its okay, it’s a great question . I actually have tried reinstalling the game twice and it hasn’t worked. I had also tried the repairing option and that doesn’t work either.

I felt like one of those cliches where you call into tech support and the first thing they ask is, have you turned it off and back on again? 😂 another question for you! Have you tried uninstalling it through your computer, or just through the EA app?

I'll keep that in mind if I ever end up with a Nvidia graphics card 😁 Thankfully, my Washburn Edition Mods List gets rid of about 95% of lag issues, among other things! The game itself was very poorly optimized by EA, but thankfully our wonderfully modding community has our backs!

@MySwitchup hahahaha So I think it's a mixture of two things. I think the walking animations themselves had some core issues when they were being designed, and also, when I take videos in game it can mess with the flow of the animations. They get a little slow down. Right now I don't have a good screen recorder program, so I take 5 Seconds to 30 second videos while I'm playing and then string them together in microsoft clipchamp. Once I am able to actually record my screen, everything will look a lot better 😊

@@GoldenEnninasSims3you can record screen in OBS Studio if you can use that on your computer (with these amazing specs and graphics i think so). i use the free version it works for streaming also but you can just screen record but you have to set the audio balance

@LM-ro9kv hahaha yeah it is a labor of love 😂 If you have Version 4 installed, you are already well on your way 😁 And yes I did! My update to V5 seems to have fixed 2x and 3x speeds! It runs buttery smooth now with only rare, occasionally 1/2 second lag! I'm incredibly happy with it 😁😁😁 and Isla Paradiso is running much better as well!!

@@GoldenEnninasSims3 It's no problem at all! I had many testers who said it took some time getting used to. Most stated once they got used to the controls their gameplay felt cozier, some preferred the original controls because they didn't mind the distance between them and the sims. So I completely understand this is just personal preference! I still uploaded the mod because once I ran a follower gift poll most expressed interest in it, the mod was originally just for my discord server! So, I will never take any offense, in fact, what you experienced has been expressed before, this is why I uploaded the shimrod changes so that many who play with this mod already feel familiar with it. @mookymilkplays oh that's awesome! I love playing up close and personal with my Sims. It gives me a whole new perspective of my Sims and the world they live in and makes my game feel even more immersive! I'll definitely give your mod a try again in the future! I can only imagine how much work it took to finish this mod. I myself have had to do the cycle of starting the game, checking a small detail, and then exiting out while making the Washburn Edition LOL it can be strenuous and very exhausting! @Adrian-pu4ih right!! I am still stunned by how spectacular it is! It does not affect the light coming through windows, BUT I do use another mod that fixes that issue! I literally can't play my game without it now lol I'll share a link with you soon!

@sampinkflor hi! I'm using these default replacement hair mods right now 😁 I'll probably be sticking with them because they look fantastic. By the way, sometimes they don't load in right on townies. If that happens, just bring them into create a sim and then back out. That should work 😁 Sometimes you have to change them to another hair style then change it back to get it to load properly. But probably the reason Clara is my favourite has to do with her dynamic with the twelfth doctor, which in turn makes me favour 12 too. Each of the doctors and each of the companions hold a special place in my heart because each one was so unique and brought something different to the series 😁❤️ and yes, the relationship between the 12th doctor and Clara was very special. A lot of people aren't crazy about Capaldi but I thought he did a wonderful job showing a whole different side of the Doctor. He is now questioning all of his decisions and trying to figure out if he's a good man. And his speeches are epic! Amazing writing! Very inspiring 😊

@eliana.playsts3 hi! Thank you so much for pointing that out. I'm not nearly as experience with Nraas mods as with others. I use most of them passively and only change the settings on Story Progression. I'm planning on learning more about the Nraas mods in the future to improve my game even further. I actually had a subscriber of mine ask me to make some tutorials on them, so I figure we can all learn together 😁

@eliana.playsts3 hi! Thank you so much for your kind words, they mean so much to me! I'm so happy you like V5 😁 and yes, the Get Out mod is really awesome. It changes some of the parameters to make Sims more likely to walk places in town instead of driving. So you get to see them walking around town like people would in a nice town. I did try the Supreme AI, but it was conflicting with a bunch of other mods I really wanted to use. I'm sure I'll try it again in the future, but for now, I'm going to stick with the other mods 😁 it's an incredibly cool concept though!

The mod is only 30% finished, so most of the games UI is gray with green detail, but some of it they haven't gotten to yet. @h-kon2227 Hi! First of all, yes the smooth patch is part of version 5 of the Washburn Edition! I removed it from Version 4 because it was causing issues in my create a sim. It conflicts with Master controller. But I found a workaround for that by just opening up create a style and closing it which makes the buttons clickable again. I actually made a video about it 😊 as for the world fixes, that's actually a highly debated topic in the community. I did research and also asked around the Facebook pages I am part of, and got a variety of different answers. I've been playing with them for over a year, and haven't noticed any issues that I am aware of 😊
