I had also very frustrated with this problem after applying so many methods finally I ended up solving this issue with this method hope this will be helpful for you too. Go to windows registry editor and then browse this following path : Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Conrtol\Power and create a new DWORD (32-bit) value with name "CsEnabled" and double click on the newly created value and set the value data as 0 and base as hexadecimal and then hit enter and restart your PC.

When I go to open/add the file in "have disk", i click on the file to add it and its empty and wont add.

I have Acer aspire v3-574G. When i turn Advanced Mode in BIOS the touchpad stops working and shows I2C HID Device error. I tried your method but it didn't work for me. I have formatted and also updated the windows 10. Plz help me if you can. I'll be thankful to u.🙏

synaptics has downloaded on my computer as a cab file and when i get to the install disk section, its unable to find the synaptics file? i assume it has something to do with it being a cab file. Any suggestions?

My mouse jumps all over the screen, and the touchpad is not working as well. There's the same exclamation mark on i2c HID device. Is the mouse issue happening because of that??
