Traveling A to Z
United States
Registrace 29. 12. 2019
We are Ashlynn and Zach. We have been married for about five years and we have been traveling around the United States and the World. We love trying new things and having new experiences. So far we have traveled to every continent and to 40 different countries together. We’re pretty active and love to hike, backpack, snorkel, scuba dive, and pretty much try anything new. I have to say I am a sucker for tourist traps, but we also love to explore off the beat and track areas. Unfortunately, Zach and I are both not adventurous eaters. We typically look for the best eating place we can find on TripAdvisor or by local recommendations. You will not see us eating bugs! We typically try to budget where we stay, but we are not shy about spending money on really cool experiences. I hope you enjoy our vlogs and follow along on our adventures. Spagues was better than Reds in my opinion
I've never done this one. I've been to Big Sur but, never stopped here. It looks gorgeous. Great views all along the trail. Nothing better than a nice soak in a hot springs.
It is a nice backpacking spot for sure.
oh my goodness so many lady bugs! Never seen so many in one place!! very impressed by all your hiking - uphill a lot too! much fitter than I!
It was neat to see so many ladybugs in one place.
That water looked cold 😭
It was really cold, but refreshing!
Planning on doing this trip soon. When would you recommend starting the hike to have a campsite at sykes and would it be better to go on a week day . Last question is are the hot springs farther past the campsite or in the direction to leave the campsite. Thank you and this video really helped
I recommend hiking the trail in the middle of the week if you can. We got to the campsite around 4 pm and there was know one there yet, but this can very by day and time of year. As you cross the river near Skyes the campsite is to the right and the hot springs are downstream to the left (about 0.5 mile).
I went on a field trip to the witches grave lol. In the 70s. Rout 1 is where i grew up.
It is such a beautiful area!
Thats York Nubble light is in York Maine.
Thank you.
The wall is an unique aspect of this hike - and the views were beautiful along the trail.
It had great views
What cool rock formations - looks like a great little park to explore.
It was a beautiful National Monument that I have never heard of before. It was fun to explore.
Your hiking is far more adventurous than our hiking! But those views are incredible!
😊 it was definitely not an easy hike, but it was worth it.
The greenery and nature around is amazing. One must definitely try hike once in life
I definitely recommend it.
Looks like a hike that is well worth the views.
I agree. Thank you for watching.
This is a bittersweet memory for me. Icy Strait Point was the last stop on my Alaska cruise before I came down with COVID and was quarantined to a medical cabin for the entire last 5 days of the cruise. I had NO symptoms the morning of the stop, but by the end of the day I had a cough that was unstoppable. I went to the infirmary, they ran a COVID test "just in case," and when the doctor returned to the exam room with two ship security staff, I knew it was positive. I don't blame them for isolating me - obviously the right thing to do, but still a big disappointment, of course. They did take good care of me, providing Paxlovid and Z-pack antibiotics (not sure why since COVID is viral, but whatever....) At least I had been on a couple of previous Alaska cruises, so I didn't miss a LOT of ports I'd never been to before, but I did miss one.
I can’t imagine getting sick and have to quarantine in a small little cabin. At least you have seen some of the area before. Icy Strait is a fun little cruise stop.
@@TravelingAtoZ At least they gave me an oceanview cabin, and delivered the same food they were serving in the MDR. They told my wife to pack all my stuff and bring it to the infirmary, and that she had the option of either quarantining with me, or continuing her cruise with our friends (she had no symptoms.) She opted to stay in our original cabin and continue the cruise, which certainly made sense!
Those views are incredible! 😄
Thank you.
Saguaro is a national park I want to visit so badly! I love cacti! 😍
It is a pretty impressive park to see. I definitely recommend checking it out.
Great video! Fascinating how cactuses can grow to be so big!
Thank you. It was crazy to me how long it takes for them to grow.
A National Park I haven't been to. I love that rocky desert vibe. Look at all those cacti 🌵. The vast open expanse of this place. This must be amazing at night under the stars.
It is a neat National Park. It is crazy that it is basically in the city of Tucson.
Trail rerouting drama. In one of my other videos that probably got a guy killed. Glad you had a better outcome!!!!
It is always fun when you have to add mileage to your trip that wasn’t planned! I do understand safety that far out into the wilderness. It is better save than sorry.
Hi there, I’m a new subscriber to your channel. Did you have to reserve your camp site?
Thanks for watching! The camp site was first come. Have a great hike.
the scenery and location - beautiful! And you made it to the hot springs! But it seems like a lot of uphill lol! Well done guys! way fitter than me!
It was definitely uphill most of the way, but the views at the end of the hike were worth it.
This was very informative! I really enjoyed seeing the landscapes there and the cacti were incredible!!
It was a beautiful National Park to visit.
These National Parks are so amazing to explore, close to nature, refreshing and interesting. Love the way you exploring hiking trails and national parks
Thank you. We really try to see the park from lots of different views.
Nice watching the place
Thank you for watching.
Fantastic hike!! The hiking trails are well maintained. Fascinating that it leads to the border. I wonder if they've had trouble with crossings there. Seemed fine while y'all were visiting.
It was a nice trail. There was a lot of blankets in the bushes on the trail from people crossing the boarder there. I wonder how many people actually cross the boarder there?
well there you go I have learnt something about cacti today and seen some amazing views! You just forgot one thing - to give a cacti a hug!
Haha! Next time!
Great info ✔️✔️✔️
Thank you.
This trail looks great! I'd definitely need some hiking poles to keep me going if there was elevation. Neat that it's right to the border - the wall made me laugh though, not the most effective.
We were shocked at the wall situation since the US makes such a big deal about the boarder wall.
Wow amazing Hike trail! You guys are doing marvelous job exploring the hikes of Mexico and sharing lovely experience. Keep up the good work guys
Thank you:
I'm conflicted in how I feel about this - my adventurous side is screaming YES do it and my claustrophobic side is screaming no way in heck! it does look incredible, so I might have to brave it if we ever get out that way!
It you love national parks I definitely recommend checking out Carlsbad Caverns. It is definitely worth it.
wow on so many levels. Thats THE wall!!! I can't believe its so easy to get around and if you were thin enough probably get through. Nevertheless! so basically pretty easy to jump into Mexico! talk about a whole lotta nothing!
😂we were shocked when we saw the wall and then all the empty space around the little piece of wall.
This is awesome. Kind of reminds me of the petungurua pinnacles in New Zealand. Where they shot the paths of the dead in Lord of the Rings. Fantastic rock formations.
Thanks. I would love to see he Pinnacles in New Zealand!
Those rock formations are pretty incredible! Nature does some amazing things. Love the views there 🙌
The formations were really neat to see.
Love the views and all the cool rock formations!! 😄
The views were amazing.
Another great hike in a cool park. The mountain s looked really cool
Thank you.
So much misinformation in this video, or is it misunderstandings?
Oh know😞 We took multiple tours around the area with guides and recorded all the information that we used for the videos. Maybe we misunderstood the information. We try to make our videos as accurate as possible. Thank you for watching.

You really packed a lot into 12 hours! I didn't realize how much there was to experience there.
It was a fun full day!
Wow! Those mountains are so marvelous. Your hike series are so captivating. One must do hiking more often I must say, so beautiful
Thank you. I am glad you are enjoying it.
Awesome place! I've been eyeing it for many years along with all the national parks n Arizona! The monuments, to me, looked like Kebabs lol!
It is an amazing place to visit. You would probably love it! I definitely recommend checking it out .
I'm marking this on my map. Never got out to Guadalupe Park. West Texas is something else. It's kind of fascinating to here tallest mountain in Texas 😂😂. My initial thought is, " oh which hill?" 😂😂 But, y'all proved me wrong. The hike looks fantastic and the views from on top were stunning.
It was a lot harder if a hike than we thought it would be being in Texas, but definitely worth it. The views were amazing.
I lived and ruff it all over the Escalante Staircase. There are over 1000 things to do in the staircase.
The area is so beautiful and a hikers dream. I wish we had more time to explore the area.
Wow, what a beautiful hike!! 😀
Thank you.
That was a steep hike. Lovely views
It was a hard but beautiful hike.
that's a pretty impressive effort! views are spectacular and great to watch relaxing here with the heater on!! thanks for sharing!
